Gucci | Classic Leather Handbag
Amidst the Holiday cheer, is this new addition to the Cruise collection. This bag takes on the classic simplistic shape, decorated with a beautiful gold double chain strap. Honestly when I first say this bag it reminded me of the Classic Chanel bag. Comparatively speaking the prices run about the same for a Gucci bag versus Chanel. Both are on my top list of favorite designers.

This line is lady-like but not over done, so its like you can carry it virtually anywhere. No matter where you go or the occasion, whether it’s to the grocery store or even to a dinner event, this bag is perfect. This line just says classy, and is not too decoratively extreme. Something else worth noting, I watched a news report concerning women at risk of pickpocketers and the importance of protecting their valuables, especially around the holiday season. There is an increased number of crimes around this hectic holiday season. This bag has a top zipper, so use it wisely. So my tip for you, is if you think you misplaced your wallet then backtrack your day. Don’t hesitate to call and cancel all your cards and reorder new ones. Also get a bag like one of these that have a top zipper. Also the worst thing you can do would be to carry your bag behind your back. That is a huge no-no, especially in a crowded area, like in a subway.

Karl Lagerfeld, the Gucci designer is getting in the action of Apples instant hit, the ipod music player. A brilliant stocking stuffer for Christmas. If you’re looking for the perfect holiday gift to give someone you know, this would be perfect. What better present then a Gucci ipod case. If you haven’t noticed depending on the designer, these ipod cases range considerably in price. So if you don?t mind spending $250. for a $230 ipod then go for it. However, if the price is a bit steep, keep in mind there are other notable designers. Such as the Coach, who has the ipod case for about $68.

Juicy Couture | J’aime Juicy Velour Laptop Case
The groovy tie-dye isn’t for everyone. Carry your laptop in something stylish with this plush case from Juicy Couture. For those of you who find that the tie-dye pattern has crossed the line into being excessive in design, there is also this more simple looking case, the J’iame Juicy. For those who are wondering, J’iame Juicy means I like Juicy.

This notebook case comes in either green or purple with the classic Juicy Couture contrast-stitched crown with dog logo. Also worth noting, like I mentioned before this bag does not provide any source of functionality. This bag would be cute for someone in the younger generation. A combination of something old on something new brings this bag to a new level of opulence. It’s a new twist to the classic generally adored velour couture with the addition of the tie-dye pattern. The tie-dye era dominated the 60′s, hence the title “Vintage”. So I guess if you really want to stand out, this velour case would be perfect for you. It kind of reminds me of my elementary school days, when we would make tie-dye shirts and scrunchies in school. It was the 90′s, not quit sure why we did that, I suspect my teacher was stuck in the hippie era.

This Vintage Juicy case comes in a groovy tie die trimmed with purple leather and embroidered with “Vintage Juicy” across the front. To remind you, in case you didn’t know this was a vintage design. Many people I have talked to find this particular tie-dye case to be a little bit on the extreme side. I guess I fall somewhere in the middle. For only $75. I would say go for it. Louis Vuitton | Globe Shopper Cabas Handbag
Now featuring at Louis Vuitton, the new Globe Shopper Cabas. Louis Vuitton recently came out with this new shopper bag with a slightly updated modernized Louis Vuitton logo. Marc Jacobs decided to updated design, he artfully blends modernity with traditional. A combination of tradition and classic create this very stylish modern look but yet embracing a vintage feel. Louis Vuitton’s history dates this iconic logo print back to 1905 when they commonly used this symbol on the front of their trunks and bags.

Bold and very unmistakable features of these bags include two signature engraved buckles on each side. The buckles can change the whole shape of the bag, whether you need to expand or contract the bag’s capacity makes this a modern and practical piece. The material used is cotton and linen canvas with the interior decorated with the monogram mini signature lining. I know from personal experiences that this linen canvas material is easy to get dirty and hard to clean. These shopper bags are adorned with antique brass hardware to embrace that vintage feel.

I realize this bag isn’t for everyone. I’ve read a few reviews on this bag, which people express in their opinion that Marc Jacobs has gone a little mad with this new design. Somewhat of a cheap bold trick of getting ones attention with this print that just screams out “look I buy Louis Vuitton”. You will rarely see me ever say that a bag is totally hideous. I have an open view of fashion. For this bag, I fall somewhere in the middle. It’s one that I will defiantly consider purchasing as a beach bag come closer to the Spring season.

Fendi | Mink Spy Bag
Isn’t this fluffy fur gorgeous? This new Mink Spy Bag is decorated with plush mink fur that’s imported from Denmark. The mink fur with the silver-tone mesh metal handles is a perfect combination for dazzling luxury. This bag is decorated with satin lining and a hidden python coin purse with a snap closure. Although I like the tradition Fendi Spy bag in the plain but classic leather, this one has won me over. It’s a cute bag to carry around during the cold wintery season.

The price tag on this Mink Spy bag is a bit steep, for the average person. I was saddened and my hope of getting this bag for Christmas disappeared. I’m just a college student so you probably won’t see this in my closet anytime soon. Visit the Fendi Designer Boutiques at eLUXURY.com

Dior | Jean Logo Handbag
Here we are at the beginning of the winter season with the introduction of a new addition to the fabulous Dior Collections. This new addition to the winter collection is called Jean Logo. Every designer keeps redesigning and reintroducing the logo fabric. Everyone has an opinion when it comes down to purchasing a logo bag or not. There are those who like it and then there are those who hate it. One would ask himself / herself if those people are wearing the brand to show off the designer logo, or to wear it simply because it’s fashionable. If you ask me my opinion of it, I would say that there is nothing wrong with purchasing a logo bag, there are a few in my collection. Which brings me to this new Dior collection. I like this new updated fresh blue logo fabric.

These bags in the Jean Logo collection are quit similar to the bags in the Dior Flight collection. The Jean Logo fabric is the material used on the Flight style bags. Unique features of these bags are the wraparound belt that finishes with an oversized silver D, ornamented with a removable orange rubber Dior tag that reads “Remove Before Flight”. At this moment in time this bag is available only in the blue jean dior logo fabric trimmed with black leather. This collection comes in various sizes perfect for any occasion. Sizes range from a small pouch or wallet to a larger tote or zipped bag.

Fendi | Embroidered Spy Bag
The Spy bag was all the rage for the fall season. Everyone wants, wanted or has a spy bag. What celebrity doesn’t have a Spy Bag, when you open a magazine you are almost guaranteed to see your favorite icon carrying one around. When handbags reach popularity with everybody wanting one, comes replicas and imitation handbags. I see so many copied Spy Bags on eBay or from street vendors it’s unbelievable. However, Fendi is reputable for their quality and unique goods hence, their extreme prices. If you haven’t noticed, I am a bit slow on the Fendi updates, I am patiently waiting for their new site to be updated.

Recently I came across this Embroidered Spy Bag while I was browsing the web. This one is defiantly different in design, and not very popular with the crowd of Fendi lovers on various blogs and fashion forums. This Embroidered collection that was released this fall season, but is still available for only pre-order. It is decorated with a unique embroidered pattern with beaded accents for homespun appeal. In my opinion, I think this design is a little bit too overwhelming. The pattern is too bold which overpowers the shape of the Spy bag and the gorgeous leather. It reminds me of my grandmother’s quilts. I apologize for those of you who like this bag. Unique characteristics of this bag are the fold over flap closure with embossed leather handles. Kate Spade | Cannes Handbag
When I came across this bag, I said to myself it’s about time for a new Kate Spade collection. This new straightforward collection is titled Cannes. Named after Cannes the geographical scene, which is located on the Mediterranean shoreline of France, which was once fishing village that turned into an international resort. This Cannes collection offers glamorous jewel-tones satin bags, that come in your choice of classic black, chocolate brown, kelly green, snow white, or pumpkin orange. I was looking forward to the spring / summer collection with the recent Resort and Cruise collections finally hitting the stores, so I was a bit saddened when I noticed the colors of this collection were foliage like hues. I know it’s only like a week or two into the winter season, but I prefer bright or colorful patterns, like the ones in other designers Cruise collections. You can’t complain too much though, this collection is very simple in pattern and design, nothing too extreme or over-the-top.

At this moment in time the Cannes collection is available in the smaller going out classic favorite shapes, which are perfect to carry around only your essential items like lipstick, cards, and cell phone.
