Here is a great idea, make your design your own bag. Honestly when I came across this site I was pretty impressed. B. Fendi | Spy Bag
For those of you who didn’t get to checkout the Spring 2006 fashion show then take a glance at these new Fendi bags. I know most of you may have seen pictures of these bags floating around on various blogs / forums, but I though it would be fun just to go back and review these lovely Fendi spring bags.

Most of the pictures are of the B. Fendi and Spy Bag. The new B. Fendi bags mirrored the image from the gigantic buckles that you saw dominating the runway. Wonder what’s with the ‘B’?, “b for buckle, b for belt, b for bag – B. Fendi!” – Amanda Harlech (the muse for Karl Lagerfeld)

Celebrity | Lindsay Lohan with Marc Jacobs Stam
Lindsay Lohan with her Marc Jacobs Stam bag! I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of Lindsay Lohan, I like her more pre-drama days. I am however a huge fan of her massive purse collection. Which brings me to this Marc Jacobs Stam bag in putty.

Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite designers, I rarely see a bag from this collection that I don’t like. It must have been an intense compliment by designer Marc Jacobs to name a bag after Canadian model Jessica Stam.

Not all bags are created equal. I was on a mission today to find inexpensive bags that aren’t considered too “cheap” looking and resemble or share similar characteristics in someway to a more expensive designer bag. Trying to filter out the cheap bags from the quality bags takes some in-depth reading on reviews, posts and descriptions. So these few bags pictured below are ones that I came across, now it’s up to you guys to decide which ones you like more. Quality vs. quantity, which would you choose?

Fendi Leather Spy Bag vs. Braided Trim Hobo

The super fabulous Fendi Spy Bag is made with rich leather topped off with double woven top handles and topped off with a wristlet accent. I think that every purse fashionista / bagista has or wants to get their hands on a Fendi Spy bag. I have seen so many copied / replicated / knockoff Fendi bags it kind of sucks the excitement out of getting one of these. Basically let me just say this to those who want an authentic Fendi Spy bag. . . If you find what appears to be an authentic Fendi Spy bag on eBay, or any other site and it’s selling for under $500 then its fake. Fendi does not sell on street corners, street vendors, in the back of someone’s trunk, at purse parties, or on sites were the bags are advertised as “similar to the Fendi”, “looks like a Fendi”, and of coarse “replica, fake, not authentic, copied, knockoff”.

If you want a bag that looks like a Fendi Spy bag but don’t want to dish out all that money, then check out the Braided Trim Hobo.

No waiting lists or getting electronically hit with the “no longer in stock” message. Not a counterfeit and equally beautiful this hobo is a perfect example of quantity vs quality. This bag retails for only $40 while the Fendi Spy (the one pictured first) retails for $2,075. You can buy 52 of the Braided Trim Hobo for the price of Spy Bag. I don’t know about you, but those numbers stun me.

Named after the Brit beauty Sienna miller this Kooba line is Bohemian inspired. This roomy structured bag has measurements of 14″ length x 9″ height x 6″ width with 11″ drop whipstitch leather handles. Additional features of this leather Sienna bag are the antique brass hardware, suede interior, and the two exterior easy access pockets.

I’m pretty sure you all see the resemblance here. What I instantly spotted was the overall shape and boho style are very similar and both of these bags come in pretty much the size. Additional glossy features of this Vieta Fashion bag that in my opinion remind me of the Kooba Sienna are the whipstitch handles, the two side pouch pockets with draw-string closure, the leather structure, hardware / accents and the magnetic snap closure.

Oh pretty pretty new things from the new Juicy Couture spring line. I thought we were done with the metallic bags but yet they keep coming back each season more stunning then the previous. Introducing at eLUXURY.com this new Juicy Couture Classic Lily hobo.

This Juicy Couture Classic Lily comes in solid black or in the fashionable dirty bronze on the soft leather double flap hobo. The few additional glossy characteristics that make this bag stand out are the dangling leather heart charm with pyramidal studs and crystals, the smaller leather dangling heart, the signature Juicy Couture logo textile interior with zipper pocket and the wide comfortable shoulder strap that drops 5.5″. Also worth noting, this bag looks a lot bigger than pictured. The measurements are 13″ x 9.5″ x 2″, a good size to tote around at least a wallet, small book and water bottle. This Juicy bag also comes with a light blue dust bag.

Decisions decisions! Yes it is hard to stuff all your stuff into one tote, so why not double up your shoulder wear with not one, but two designer bags. First picture on the left is Paris Hilton with her Gucci and Chanel bags. The picture on the right is of the lovely Sarah Jessica Parker with her Manhattan Louis Vuitton and a Twiggy Balenciaga.

B. Fendi | Patent Leather Shoulder bag
Do you like being on a waiting list to get the latest ‘It bag’ for the spring season? Personally I hate waiting, but it will certainly be worth it in when it finally comes. At this time Eluxury has two Fendi patent leather bags that are straight off the runaway. The ones available are the B. What I truly love about these bags is the two oversized buckles that reach out and grab your attention, not to forget the mod-style patent leather. I admit at first I wasn’t too attracted to these bags. Mainly because of the patent leather sort of reminds me of a certain past decade. I mean really, as an 80′s baby is that odd of me to not jump head over heals for this bag? Nevertheless this bag is quite lovely and personally I like this bag in the leather or canvas.

The price range for these new Fendi spring handbags range from $1,360 to $2,000. Expected ship out date is April 8, 2006.
