Bulga | Tassel Hobo Handbag | View!
The designer behind the designer label Bulga (Natalia Konovalova) first stepped into the fashion world working as a model. The name for the line was originally Kono Valova but went under a name change because it didn’t blend with her inspiration behind the line. Natalia recounts the day when she changed the name from Kono Valova to Bulga – “one day out of the blue while I was casually glancing over an antique globe. I was looking at all the old names for towns in my country and my finger came down on a town called ‘Bulga’. After I looked it up I literally fell out of my chair; the English translation of Latin word ‘bulga’ is leather bag!”

Pictured above is the Bulga hobo in the (exclusive to Barney’s) color grey leather whipstitch detailing and topped off with a dangling thin strapped tassel.

Celebrity nanny Eva Longoria recently photographed at Cafe Med while sporting the new Coach Chelsea Pony Satchel purse. Okay she isn’t really a “celebrity nanny”, well from what I know she hasn’t had a career change, just yet. I have never been a fan of Desperate House Wives – or any television show in general except for the Colbert Report < hehe >. I’m also not a big fan of Eva Longoria’s style. She has never struck me as the fashionable type, or at least someone’s style that I would admire. Sorry Eva fans. Although we do have one thing in common – we have the same car preference. Fascinating.

The Anya Hindmarch ‘Be a Bag’ tote – the name describes it all. You send in your photo and they plaster your image on the front of the bag for approximately $367.

A man bag? Uhm, kinda sorta. It’s a bag that is suitable for any gender, and as you see below Mr. Furnish is showing off his ‘Be a Bag’ Tote.

David Furnish (Elton John’s significant other) was recently spotted with an Anya Hindmarch ‘Be a Bag’ tote. Usually when I see people toting around the bags publicizing their face or their kids face plastered on the side, I’m generally not that impressed and usually don’t take even take a second glance. That doesn’t apply here, David Furnish actually choose a decent design – Slightly kooky but I like the oversized glasses look.

< Mulberry – one of my new fav’s > I don’t think anyone really knows how obsessed I am with Mulberry bags, especially the Piccadilly. One of the bags competing for the first place in my book is the Piccadilly Holdall – the shape, the color, the hardware – oh I adore! The Piccadilly on Mulberry.com is a handbag, a weekender for the traveling stylish man who doesn’t care too much for the trends but rather be seen with a timeless bag.

Imo, the Mulberry Piccadilly bag is not only a bag for the guys to enjoy, but can work for any fashionista or fashionister as a traveling or day bag (for those who carry everything essential to living within reach).

Moschino | Cheap and Chic Large Patent Shoulder Bag | View!
Moschino Cheap and Chic – Look chic with a cheap price tag. Okay not really cheap-cheap. This bag in particular retails for just under $1,000.

This pricey little (not so) Cheap (but very) Chic bag (designed by Rosella Jardini) features pleated sides that scrunch up and gather at the mouth with a thin belt that loops around holds it all together clamping shut with a heart and key charm lock – available in classic black and dark red Bordeaux patent leather.

The Moschino handbag celebrity fan base includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Alicia Silverstone, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Friel and even Jessica Simpson. Lookie below, Miss Simpson was recently spotted with the Bordeaux red patent shoulder bag.

Bra-exposed Jessica Simpson photographed while spending the evening out. Bag for the occasion was none other than the Moschino Large Patent Shoulder Bag. I’m really glad she chose this bag. I have been getting kind of bored with her always photographed carrying a Louis Vuitton handbag. Well recently she has been mixing things up by carrying trendier bags like from her Jessica Simpson handbag line or the Michael Kors purse line, this is the first time I have seen her with Moschino – I like.

Louis Vuitton | Mirior Gold Alma | View!
The original Alma entered the world of fashion back in the early 1930′s. It looked a little bit different from the Alma being produced today. It was a relaxed semi-structured bag made of cotton canvas (not coated) and was then called the Squire Bag. A couple decades later in the early 1990′s Tim White-Sobieski revamped the Alma city-bag which in turn made it an emblematic piece to the house. (Marc Jacobs became the artistic director for Louis Vuitton in 1997) Every now and then when the creative director feels like mixing things up they will call on an artist to come and play with some designs, to create Limited Editions. (Example: Stephen Sprouse scribbled the Louis Vuitton name in Graffiti. Takashi Murakami drew up the cuddly little Panda Bear, etc). Once Limited Editions are gone, they are gone forever.

Pictured above is not a classic. Pictured above is a hideous un-needed (no wanted) makeover on the Alma. Poor bag. Marc Jacobs I love you, but I just don’t understand why you would produce such a lovely bag with such a tacky dress.
