Prada Nappa Fringe Convertible Tote
Ee-uck. Have you seen this bag yet? This beast is a newbie from the house of Prada for spring 2007 – the Prada Nappa Fringe Tote. The bags outfit consists of hundreds of dangling hairy-like fringe tassels that part down the middle to reveal the triangular Prada eye. Initial thought, its like a scary version of Chewbacca! Measurements of this animal: 10″ height x 12″ length x 2″ width.

Right now the Prada Nappa Fringe Convertible Tote is only available for pre-order Saks. Retail of this beast, a whopping $2,450! For that price I would rather get the gorgeous Prada Nappa Gaufre Convertible Satchel in the creamy color Cera.

A.L.T and return with the Fringe, eek. Okay when I first came across this candid of ALT I was blown away – it looks like he’s wearing the Prada Nappa Fringe Convertible Tote. I mean is fringe the new “it” thing to be wearing? If so I’m skipping this trend.

Another thing, let me just say I love Andre Leon Talley (love him). Okay now that I got that out of the way, somebody please tell me what in the world is going on here? Fill me in because I am confused. . . on top of the crazy fringe top coat, is that a mini leopard print wristlet he is toting around?

So. . . Do you have your Chloe Bay Bag yet?? When I first saw this spring 2007 runway designer purse during the fashion show, I truly was not impressed. I believe my exact words were “No ‘It Bag’ from Chloe on the spring runway. Nothing to rave about, the bags were pretty simple (slightly boring) which comes as a huge disappointment for all the Chloe fans who had the high hopes that label would have continued their streak of producing covetable accessories. Darn!” haha. But now, after seeing it in real life and in action the design has, well, grown on me. . . I like the Chloe Bay Bags, especially the Quilted Lambskin Ecru Bag (currently unavailable online), the one that Kylie has been spotted all over out-and-about with. By no means will this bag make it on my top 5 favorite designer handbags list, or even my top 20. So I wouldn’t go as far as to say I am in-love with the bag, but it would be a nice edition to handbag the closet.

Chloe Bay Bag details: Inspired by 1970′s spirit, the Bay bag has a retro feel with zippers and a multiple pocket luggage identity. It is made of sensual leather and comes in a variety of shapes including: classic satchel, tote, and long strap messenger. The newest version comes with quilted leather and stitching repeated on the front of the bag. Devi Kroell Designer Handbags for Target
Can this be true? Devi Kroell is moving into the handbag department of Tar-jhay? Well according to online fashion mag wwd (woman’s wear daily), the logo-less luxury Kroell designer handbags will appear someday soon at your nearest Tar-jhay department store! < sweet news! >

Here is the excerpt from wwd:
Devi Kroell’s python, anaconda and karung bags with their often four-figure price tags aren’t for everyone. But the Manhattan accessories designer, who won Swarovski’s Perry Ellis Award for Accessory Design at the CFDA Awards in 2006, is said to be developing a more democratic style – for Target. Sources said Kroell is next in line to create an accessories line for the retailer, following Rafe New York, which launched handbags for Target in November. “I admire the work of Target and their sharp focus on great design. While I may have had conversations with Target about possible future opportunities, there is simply nothing to share at this time,” said Kroell in a statement. On the other end of the spectrum, Kroell recently launched a bespoke collection, featuring made-to-order bags in exotic skins such as alligator and ostrich with the option of gold hardware set with precious stones, for her most affluent and particular customers. Sources said Kroell, who is also expecting her first child in April, will launch her line with Target sometime this year. A representative for Target declined to comment.

Introducing: Microsoft Laptop Bags
New news for all you high tech purse enthusiasts – Microsoft, yeah that’s right Microsoft is releasing a new line of laptop bags (due out February 15th). The bags are even “Made in Redmond” too!

For the project Microsoft teamed up with luggage manufacturer Samsill to produce these laptop bags. These boring but functional in design bags contain all the amenities you’d expect from a modern notebook tote: protective padded sleeve holds laptop up to 15.4″, media storage and accessory panel, zipper closure on main compartment for security and easy access exterior zipper pockets.

The line is launching with three simple design styles: the Manhattan ($69.99), the Madison ($59.99) and the Monticello ($49.99).
