The Limited Edition Julie Verhoeven for Mulberry Handbag
If you happened to check out the Mulberry site then you might have noticed there is a new collaboration project out and ready for the picking. Last season Mulberry worked with Giles Deacon for the limited edition punk chic handbag line, now for the fall-winter 2007 season Mulberry has teamed up with the illustrious illustrator Julie Vernhoeven to create a vibrant collection that will make people re-think the term “Classic British�.

“The Brief was to be both vibrant and bold and a little cheeky.. We worked around the traditional English rose icon with the thorny surprises – surrealist and nonsense elements thrown into the mix. English eccentricities and traditions gone a little askew, but with fondness and femininity.â€? – Julie Verhoeven on the Mulberry Handbag Collaboration.

Pictured above is one of the bags available in the collaboration project. It’s the super lightweight canvas tote with the Julie Verhoeven print on each side – a girl with rose red colored hair with a rose leaf in mouth and on the other side a grey and white print of a spoon with a rose bud. This handbag also features leather straps and an interior painted in hot bright purple. Discover it at mulberry where it retails for around $300.

Givenchy Shiny Grained Nightingale Handbag in Marine Blue
One of the best handbag purchases of my life was of the Givenchy Nightingale Bag. This purse is fabulous! Everyday I totally plan my outfit around this bag, well that is a pretty common practice for those of us who are obsessed with this little accessory, the purse.

The bag features a shiny grained leather body with four panel seam details on both sides. The handles are embossed with the Givenchy logo. The length of the double strap handles is perfect for carrying on the crook of your arm plus the bag is very light too, so it won’t weigh you down. The bag also comes with a detachable shoulder strap for those days you want your arms free. The interior of this bag is very spacious with a single interior zip pocket and two multifunctional pockets.

Cheap & Chic Handbags: Target goes Hollywould
Creative Director of the fabulous Hollywould label, Holly Dunlap, recently came out with another fashion line that you’re able to score at any Target store. The new limited edition collection includes everything from daytime and evening handbags and shoes include clutches, purses, totes, shoulder bags, boots, pumps, heels, etc.

Price range of this new cheap-chic line retails for no more than $50. The shoes are priced at around $30 and handbags range from $20 to $50.

The Limited Edition Hollywould Target items are available through Dec. 16. Check it out.

Anne Hathaway Purse Style: Devi Kroell for Target Handbag
Anne Hathaway with her Target Bag, a perfect example that money doesn’t buy style. You don’t have to spend $500+ on a handbag to be fashionable, there are hundreds, heck even thousands of designers out there that come out with great bags that are stylish and very affordable.

The handbag above is actually from Devi Kroell’s cheaper line for Tar-jhay. The Devi Kroell designer handbags which are known for their four-figure price tag and exotic material, traded in all of the above to feature a under $50 price tag and embossed python material. Anne Hathaway recently got her hands on this super cheap but very chic Devi Kroell purse.

The bag is currently sold out on the Target site, but don’t worry, I found quite a few of the same bag floating around on ebay. Check ‘em out!

side note: Dearest Seattlites, if you happen to be in the downtown area you must stop off at Nordstrom’s sister store, the Rack. Right now, at this very second there is a huge stash of the Devi Kroell Classic Medium Hobo’s (in Python!!) marked down to an astonishing $600! That’s like $1500 off retail! You better go quickly. Would you Wear this? Coach Bleecker Patchwork Handbag
Coach recently came out with this new Bleecker line about a month ago, which is basically “the new and improved� version of the original Coach Duffle Sac that was produced in the early 70’s.

The unique looking bag is new to the Bleecker collection. It’s created with a patchwork of foliage colored leather pieces on the vintage inspired slouchy shape.

I guess the shape is okay, but you know it reminds me of those vintage coach bags that you can find at any antique-retro-vintage shop, that usually retail for no more than $80. And that patchwork pattern looks too old fashioned. Like a bag you would find hiding in the dark corner of your grandmothers closet. Maybe its just me. What do you guys think?

So the simple question is… would wear this bag? Or even pay in the neighborhood of $700 for creation?

This is truly a great eBay find. You have the chance to get the spring 2007 Richard Prince for Louis Vuitton designer handbag before anyone else.

This bag is straight from the Sunday Oct 7th Runway Louis Vuitton Runway Show in Paris, where this authentic handbag was received as a European Fashion Editor’s Swag goodie. Those lucky editors!
