Great Handbag Care Product: Lovin My Bags “For Handles Only”
Not too long ago, I came across this wonderful product from Lovin My Bags called For Handles Only. This cream is an oil inhibiting product that prevents naked leather from darkening. Now I realize that I lot of people actually like their handles to patina, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try this product. From what I have experienced, it does not completely prevent your handles from darkening. Instead, it allows them to darken much more slowly and evenly. No more yucky black spots where your fingers always grasp the handles! Definitely a must-have for anyone who loves Louis Vuitton! The only down side to this product is that it can only be used for prevention and maintenance applications. If your leather has already darkened, this product won’t be able to help you.
For Handles Only is $14.95 for a 2 oz. jar or $26.95 for a 4 oz. jar.

Other products found at Lovin My Bags include:
Luxury Cleanser (For Balenciaga)
Luxury Cleanser Plus (For untreated leathers)
Feel Soft Moisturizer
New Shine Restore

Tory Burch Tote vs. Steve Madden Bag

tory Burch Tote vs. Steve Madden Bag
Tory Burch Tote vs. Steve Madden Bag
As I stumbled upon Steve Maddens’ Perforated Patent Tote, the name Tory Burch jumped into my head. Why, you might ask? Well, take a look for yourself. Both bags share obvious similarities, such as, the same bag shape, both bags also measure in at 17?W x 16? H. You can find long straps attached to the body of the totes by a round gold rivet insertion. You can also find a magnetic snap closure inside both bags for security purposes. Both bear perforated embellishment on its front side; Burch’s tote sports its recognizable reflecting T’s (Burch’s signature logo), while Maddens tote is perforated with some type of symbol I can’t really make out. Of course the most obvious comparison between Burch’s and Madden’s creations would have to be the high-shine patent leather body. So what differences do these two totes have? Burch’s tote comes in a variety of hues, including new color combinations, such as Turquoise on Yellow or Tangerine on White, which will be available soon as they are part of the Burch’s Spring 2008 collection. While, Madden’s tote is adorned with a detachable charm piece. You can obtain Madden’s BJENN bag for $38 through Steve Madden (dot com) or get the original Tory Burch tote via Nordstrom (dot com) for $325.

Handbags by New Team Designer Loeffler Randall

Handbags by New Team Designer Loeffler Randall
Muliebrity, luxury, and contemporary design are key fundamentals that are applied to the collections of new team designer Loeffler Randall. And back in 2004, a partnership that was created between a wife and husband, paved the way down fashion lane to what would become a recognized label offering chic and quality pieces for the elegant woman. Jessie Loeffler Randall in partnership with husband Brian Murphy offer a variety of clothing, shoes, accessories and of course, handbags. Their creations present modern simplicty and soft tones that are perfect for the upcoming seasons.

Although modernity is an essential structure in this label, the common trend traits like in-for-the-minute styles in today’s fashion society aren’t a main concentration. This is what makes LR gracefully appealing to me. I absolutely love the styles of the handbags and the elegance of the colors. The use of materials including patent leather, shrunken grain lamb, calfskin and canvas all add a great variety of sumptuous textures to chose from. I admire how the patent grain leather on some of the bags exhibits a minimal luster in comparison to the usual brilliantly shiny patent leather that is seen. Also, the combination of color contrasted canvas and leather is classic and so elegant.

Although I admire every piece that I’ve discovered so far, I particularly like the Hattie signature satchel in either cream or nude for spring and summer. Also, the canvas and leather combo version in navy and white would be great for those (myself included) that work the nautical theme during the summer.

As for the specifics of the bag, the decorative knotting on the handles and the pleated detail on the front of add just enough style. The 9 handle drop length allows for comfortable wear over the shoulder or satchel-use over the arm. There is a frame top with a magnetic closing flap and also a small zippered pocket in the front. And there’s no need to worry about the bottom, as there are protective feet. Lastly, the prices of these bags are very reasonable.

The price of the Hattie bag is $685, which given it’s size of 14.5 x 10 x 4, is a typical price tag for a piece by LR.

Coach Resort Turnlock Tote

Coach Resort Turnlock Tote
Coach Resort Turnlock Tote
While doing my daily net browsing, I spotted this newbie on the Coach website, the Resort Turn lock Tote. From a distance on the new items page, this specific bag caught my attention. Why? Well, I was curious; I had to know what type of adornments Coach placed on this one bag of theirs. Upon enlarging the page and reviewing the description of the tote, I learned that the body of the bag is made out of metallic leather (nice), legacy striped fabric lining (sweet), a 13 ¾ inch length by a 14 ½ inch height (big), a $698 price tag (nay), and a whole lot of multicolored brass turn lock closures applied onto the body of the bag (shocked ). I believe adding substances onto an item can really enhance its appearance, but then again, too much application can really hurt an item as well. Would you call this brass application a clever or an unwise decision by Coach? Is mixing metals stylish? Personally, I would prefer a solid metallic leather Coach bag over this one bag. Second of all, I can’t really think of what I would wear with this bag! So what do you all think? Yay or Nay?
