LeSportsac Lotus Yoga Tote
Alright ladies, bikini season is almost here! What does that mean? It means that a lot of you will be heading over to the gym to shed off some of those winter fat reserves. For me, I’ll probably be hitting the treadmill and all those other torture devices. You know, the usual cardio activities. But I’ll also probably try some yoga. I hear that it can really help your whole body look toned and fit. Well, its worth a shot anyway. Right?

So what do we have here? Is it a tripod case for your camera? One of those fold up chairs you take with you to tailgate parties? No. Actually, it is the Lotus Yoga Tote from LeSportsac. What is a Yoga Tote, you ask? Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet, you can get your rolled up yoga mat in there! Now all there is left to wonder is whether or not this thing would be useful or awkward. My vote would be useful, especially if you like to take your yoga to different locations. Gym near home… gym at work… park… you get the idea. What bothers me though is the funky print. Is it just me, or do the prints found on LeSportsac bags have the tendency to make you wonder what the heck those designers were thinking? Well, one thing is for sure… LeSportsac prints are either something you absolutely love or something you absolutely hate. I don’t think there is a happy medium here.

Exotic Collections by Dooney & Bourke
During my last visit to the DB website, I was very surprised to discover some great new lines featuring exotic skins and a few new handbag styles. Usually, my stay over in Fuglyville (dooney.com) is always shortened by some new disgusting and far from appealing line of handbags. But this time, I was actually quite impressed with two new lines that I saw, which are the Ostrich and Croc Bags collections. Since I am totally in love with these exotic skins in particular, there were a couple of bags that I would actually buy from them. Also, colorful and bright exotic materials are definitely a hot trend for warmer weather.

The first collection that I saw was the Ostrich line. It includes about six different handbag styles and seven colors to choose from. My favorite one is the Cinzia Bag, shown above, in either camel, mustard or fucshia. Though, I wish there were more color choices for this line. But I love how the shape of this bag is simple yet creative with two small slanted pockets in the front. It comes in three different sizes which are small, medium and large. For me, I’d probably opt for the small size, which is actually roomy and measures 12″x 5″x 18″. And for a price of $295, I definitely think this bag is worth it.

The second and last exotic line is the embossed Croco collection. I’m such a sucker for croc handbags, whether the skin is faux or not, so my opinion is probably biased. This line is older but Dooney added about six new styles with plenty of shades to choose from. The one that caught my attention was the new Sara Bag in lilac (featured above), sky blue and red. Again, I love the two slanted pockets in the front and also the tote style of this purse. The only drawback on this one for me is the top magnetic snap closure as I prefer a zippered one. But I think I’d make an exception for this bag. The price borders $400 ($375 to be exact) and I’m not too sure if i’d spend that much on a DB bag. This is one that I’d have to see in person and decide then.

Hollywood’s New Bag Queen: Eva Longoria Parker
Hollywood has many bag queens…Victoria Beckham, Jessica Simpson, Kate Moss. Now joining the ranks of these elite Hollywood bag queens is Eva Longoria Parker. She has taken her stylish fashion sense from Wisteria Lane off the screen. Whether she is walking her dog, going to a red carpet even, or in France with Tony, she is always seen carrying one of the season’s hottest bags. Her bags are always the perfect touch to her stylish clothes. They match her shoes and compliment her outfits so well.

In an interview with Instyle.com, she revealed the contents of her 133-square foot closet and it included many, many, many bags including a coveted hot pink crocodile Hermes Birkin bag. Of the Birkin bag, her stylist advised her to “wear it with everything� because it was going to be handed down in her will. She’ll have plenty more to hand down in her will. Every day she is seen with a different bag by a different designer…Gucci, Hermes, Dior, you name it, she’s got it. Looks like a new bag queen is in town!

Chanel Bags available at YOOX

The Chanel listed above is the one that caught my attention the most. It has so many classy details I just love about Chanel. First of all, this Chanel is made out of smooth quilted chocolate brown nappa leather, (dark brown being a nice substitute for a solid black leather bag). Chanel’s signature logo closure was also applied to this bag, a detail I truly adore. Something that isn’t really appealing to me would have to be the single nappa leather strap; it seems so boring, in my opinion. I most definitely prefer Chanel’s classic metal and interwoven leather chain straps. It seems like Chanel was starting that chain and leather strap feature on this bag, but never finished! As I mentioned before, this bag is not brand new, instead YOOX’s claims it is in good condition. If you are interested in this Chanel, make sure you read up on its specific flaws before buying. Although, something in the back of my head is saying, “Who cares… its CHANEL�!

Kooba Eden Bag
Wow, what is up with Kooba lately? Everywhere I turn, it’s Kooba this and Kooba that! Even celebrities like Rihanna have been spotted with Kooba bags. Geez… aren’t people tired of it already? Well, no, apparently they are not. When I’m out shopping at my favorite department store, Kooba is the name I her women asking for. To tell you the truth, though, I never really was a huge Kooba fan. But they have had some pretty cool bags lately. Oh and metallics! Even if you’re not a Kooba fan, you can never go wrong with metallics!

So what can I say about the Kooba Eden bag? I love the gathers on top and the decorative stitching on the edges. I’m not really sure what to thing about the all those flaps though. I also wonder how easy it would be to get the bag open with one hand, since it has that strap that comes over the top. I guess it sort of reminds me of something you’d see from another designer. Marc Jacobs maybe? No? Oh well, maybe not. At least the bag is this really pretty pewter color. And they paired it beautifully with antiqued, satin brass hardware!
