Burberry Check Canvas Hobo
Check out the Check Canvas Hobo by the House of Burberry. This hobo caught my attention for the fact that it sports Burberry’s signature check print, but in a not-so-revealing way. Instead of being dressed up in Burberry’s well recognized beige, black, white and red check print, this hobo is adorned in oversized grey and black plaid on a white canvas background. A strong detail found on this check hobo is the chocolate brown leather trim, which gives this bag a nice sophisticated look. Gold plated metal is the hardware of choice and is found throughout the hobo, this detail accomplishes its job by enhancing the appearance of the bag. My favorite feature would have to be the logo engraved cube shaped leather string adjuster, which alters the opening of the handbag. I also like spacious and organized bags, and this Check hobo is definitely one. Inside, you can find a center zip divider, an interior slip, cell phone and PDA pocket dividers, pretty cool huh?! Although extra space slots and pockets can already be seen in many designer bags, I think it’s time for all designers to adopt this “extra space� idea. With dimensions of 18� x 12� x 4.5�, this extra large bag totally gets my vote! So what do you bagistas think, would you wear this Burberry?

Dooney & Bourke New Quilt Handbag Collection
Could it be that Dooney is actually taking a step away from their fugly streak?!?! Well, from their presentation of the New Quilt collection, it looks like DB has created a normal and wearable new line. This new and appealing handbag collection by Dooney & Bourke is available in about 12 different styles and plenty of great colors for the upcoming warm weather. Shown above is the new Medium Elisa Bag in sand-cream-taupe, which measures 17″x 6.5″x 10″ ( a little on the big side for me). It also features two creatively slanted pockets in the front, twisted strap detailing, and comes with a price tag of $245.
I’d have to say that I like this new line by Dooney. It is definitely more subtle than other collections by them, which is why I think it’s appealing. Lately, we’ve seen a lot of Dooney disaters that are overly busy and just plain ugly. But I think the New Quilt collection is a great variation of their Quilt line. I also like how it comes in different colors such as sand, green, yellow, blue, and pink. Overall, I’m liking this design and also some of the bag styles that are offered in it.

Safari Bags
Ohhhh…take me to the jungle! One of Spring’s hottest trends is the safari look. From khaki clothing to woven wedges, wooden bangles, and animal print bags, the safari look is all over the place. Prints like zebra, cheetah, giraffe, and leopard and textures like crocodile and snakeskin leathers adorn this season’s hottest bags.
The first bag featured is the Michael Kors Large North/South Tote. This bag is made of giraffe printed canvas with grain leather trim and brush metal hardware. It retails at a fair $298 and is large enough to fit all the necessities and even good enough to take on a jungle expedition. The second bag featured is the Fendi Extra Large Fringed Zebra Baguette Tote and retails at a more hefty $5,420. The bag consists of zebra printed pony hair and leather fringe. This bag is wild and fun. The multicolor fringe gives sets it apart from the typical zebra print. The third bag featured is the Dior Runway Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag and retails at $3,510. This may be my favorite of the bunch. It is funky and captures the trendy safari theme but still remains chic and sophisticated. This bag is very versatile and can be worn with a khaki, safari inspired outfit or with a little black dress. The final bag featured is the Loeffler Randall Snakeskin-Stamped Envelope Clutch. This bag is made of Shiny snakeskin-embossed leather and features polished gold metal hardware. It is the perfect little safari clutch and may even fit some bug spray for those humid nights in the jungle!
