Fabulous Finds: The Bag Borrow Or Steal Outlet
People have been talking a lot about this website called Bag Borrow or Steal lately. You know, the website that let’s you rent a luxurious bag by the week (or by the month). I was over at their website looking at all of the pretty things they had to offer. Problem is, I don’t know if I could simply “borrow” a bag. I mean, by the time you pay the rental fee, you could have had a third of the bag actually paid for (if you were to actually go out and but it at a store). Personally, if I’m investing that much into a bag, I’d rather just go buy the silly thing so that I can keep it forever. It might cost me a little more in the short run, but not in the long run.

Now that I have said this, you’re probably wondering why anyone would want to visit this website at all. But let’s not be too hasty in judging Bag Borrow or Steal. They still have a lot to offer for bargain hunters in their outlet section. Yes, that’s right. You can actually purchase “gently carried” designer handbags (and jewelry) for a fraction of their suggested retail prices. As a Let-Trade fan, I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with buying a previously owned handbag. Just because a bag has already been loved does not mean it doesn’t have any life left in it. Marc Jacobs Patchwork Stam by Marc Jacobs in Black
I have many dream bags. Some will be dream bags for many years to come and some can be reality fairly soon. One of my dream bags that is a little on the pricey side, but not too pricey that you’ll be paying a credit card bill for years to come, is the Marc Jacobs Patchwork Stam bag. The Patchwork Stam is much more beautiful and stylish than the Quilted Stam, but of course that’s just my opinion.

Just like the name states, the Patchwork Stam has a patchwork pattern compared to the iconic quilted patten on the Quilted Stam. If you aren’t a fan of the brass link chain shoulder strap, as I am, you are in luck.. it’s removable! The chain has clasp attachments that can be removed and put back onto the bag at anytime. With or without the chain this handbag is a great buy because not only can you wear it as a shoulder bag, but you can also wear it as a satchel. If you love satchels, you will definietely want this one sticking out in your collection.

The Patchwork Stam is complete with a oversized kiss-lock closure which fashionably has Marc Jacobs etched on one of the knobs. The bag comes in a wide range of colors including Bordeaux, Petrol, Chocolate, and Peanut and is price at $1,550.

Anya Hindmarch Art Tote
Most famous for her “I’m Not A Plastic Bag” canvas shopping totes that debuted in 2007, Anya Hindmarch is a relative newcomer to the world of handbags. Her first handbag store was opened only about 15 years ago, but already her designs have won the hearts of both celebrities (e.g. Jessica Alba and Reese Witherspoon) and ordinary fashionistas alike. So when I saw this Anya Hindmarch Art Tote over at Shop Bop, I was intrigued. Why? Well, it’s because when I look at this bag, I don’t automatically think Anya Hindmarch. It’s not as whimsical as other bags I have seen by this designer. And, quite frankly, I think that’s a good thing!

For me, the Anya Hindmarch Art Tote is just a nice-looking tote all the way around. The signature quilting (e.g. little bows) is simple and subdued, and yet it maintains the essence of Anya Hindmarch’s style. This bag is versatile with its detachable shoulder strap (just in case you need your hands free) and neutral color. And the interior keeps you organized with its multifunction pockets, pen slot, and key clip. I especially like the idea of the pen slot since I’m always looking for my pen!

Travel Wallets and Passport Cases – Pick Your Price
Got some hot summer plans this year? Do those plans involve leaving the country? Paris, maybe?! Okay, maybe not. But if you are planning on doing some traveling this summer, then it might be a good idea to pick up a travel wallet or passport case. I bought one earlier this year when my in-laws decided to have a “family vacation”. I found that it kept me organized despite my annoying mother-in-law rushing us through airport security even though we had PLENTY of time. Everything I needed was all in one place, right at my finger tips.

Now picking out a travel wallet/passport case may not be as important as picking out a handbag. Of course not! But I realize everyone has different tastes and budgets, so I have a few different styles pictured above to give you an idea of what is available.

1. Glazed Croc Passport Case by Lai. This delicious-looking passport case is available in Crocodile Lime or Alligator Red. It features two large pockets for tickets and passport. It normally retails for $625, but it is currently on sale for $437 at Vivre Online Store and Catalog.

2. Graphic Image Passport Wallet. Get the croco-look for less with this embossed leather passport wallet. It features 5 credit card slots and a passport compartment. It’s available over at Saks Fifth Avenue (in either red or camel) for only $61.

3. Juicy Couture ‘Couture Canvas’ Travel Wallet. This travel wallet keeps everything secure with its zip-around closure. It features an ID window, pen loop, seven credit card slots, and passport compartment. It retails for $145 and it is available over at Nordstrom in either black or pink.

4. Fossil Weekender Traveler. This zip-around style travel wallet is for the girl that needs to carry it all. This baby features a whopping 10 credit card slots, plus an ID window. It also has multiple compartments for holding a passport and tickets. It retails for only $58 and it is currently available in espresso and camel (although I have seen them in every color of the rainbow). You can find it at fossil.
