Juicy Couture ‘Lock Crush’ Doctor’s Bag
Juicy Couture has been doing an amazing job making gorgeous handbags lately, and one of those handbags I applaud them on is the Lock Crush Doctor’s Bag. Doctor bags’ have been made before by other designers but none of them succeeded in making the Doctor’s bag look stunning like Juicy Couture did. I have always wanted a Doctor’s bag, but I could never find one that was breath taking in every way possible, and the Lock Crush by Juicy Couture is making my heart skip beats! The detail I love the most about this handbag is the Flap lock closure. It’s similar to the lock seen on the Louis Vuitton Multicolore Speedy, and that makes me love this handbag even more. Flap lock closures are so unique and definitely make any bag stick out in a crowd. When the lock is undone the Lock Crush opens up into a spacious handbag that is complete with logo print lining.

The Juicy Couture ‘Lock Crush’ Doctor’s bag is priced at $450. The price maybe a little scary for a Juicy Couture handbag, but that’s actually not too steep for a gorgeous handbag with beautiful hardware, style and texture. The Lock Crush, as seen above, is pictured in a ravishing color of blue. The handbag also comes in black and brown, and looks stunning in either color you choose.

Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Woven Face Tote
Attention all you fashionistas out there! Would you wear this? Meet the Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Woven Face Tote. This whimsical tote bag is made of knit wool fabric. The tote features a face (complete with heart shaped cheeks) woven into the fabric on both the front and back sides. Personally, I could never see myself carrying this tote. It is just not my cup of tea at all. But I will give the designer some credit for the straps. Oh what I would give for a tote bag that has padded shoulder straps! However, I certainly don’t feel it is worth it’s $300+ price tag. I suppose it might be cute for, say, a kindergarten teacher. Or perhaps even a teenager might find the design adorable. Don’t get me wrong, the whimsical face is cute. It’s just that it doesn’t belong on a bag that is meant for grownups.

The Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Woven Face Tote is available in Grape. It is fully lined and has a zip top closure. With its padded double handles, this tote may not be easy on the eyes, but at least it is easy on the shoulders.

Erotokritos Picnic Tote

Launched in 1996, the Paris-based company Erotokritos is relatively new to the world of handbags. According to Shop Bop’s Designer Bio, the designer’s handbags were quick to gain popularity because they capture the essence of effortless Parisian style. Now I’m not sure if that is really true or not, but I can safely say that the Erotokritos Picnic Tote is indeed an example of effortless style. The overall shape and style of this bag are so simple. The casual pleating on the sides and the gently curved handles give a very soothing impression (think fluffy cloud). This bag seems like it would just disappear into the background. It is definitely not what I would call an “eye catcher”. I can’t really say that I like this bag, but I can’t say that I hate it either. Perhaps it is one of those things that you need to see in real life before you can make up your mind about it. What does everyone else think? Would you carry this bag?

The Erotokritos Picnic Tote is made in Italy. Slouchy, pebbled leather in a color called Grey Stone has been paired neatly with gold-tone hardware. It features rolled double handles as well as a convenient, detachable shoulder strap. The bag measures 13.5″ x 6″ x 4.5″ and the handles have a 6 inch drop.

It retails for $654 and you can find it over at shopbop.com.

Who doesn’t like finding designer goods at incredibly markdown prices? In case you gals aren’t aware, BagBorroworSteal has a members-only outlet, where you can find a nice selection of designer goods at great discount prices. I love the idea, as I tend to browse their outlet occasionally; you just never know what sorts of goods you’ll find. One of my favorite outlet finds would have to be Yves Saint Laurent’s Woven Maia Satchel. It’s no newbie, but I can’t help but love its overall design. I adore its structured silhouette and how its dark accents compliment finely to its neutral body. Ok maybe this bag isn’t exactly the best find for the coming season, but if you reside in an area where it scorchers year-round, such as I do, this YSL would make a great companion. Have I mentioned the best part of this YSL? It currently carries an amazing 50% off retail price tag? From $2,400 to $1,195, still a bit steep but definitely reduced. What do you ladies think about this bag? Is it too trendy for your taste or do you find this piece to be simply stunning instead?
