60th Anniversary Longchamp Logo Print Handbag
I like to say that some designer’s like to look at the competition to get their ideas or inspirations for that matter. One handbag that always seems to have other designers replicating the idea but with their own twist is the Louis Vuitton Speedy. Another handbag that looks similar to the Louis Vuitton Speedy is the Longchamp Logo Print Handheld Satchel. It may have been a rip off of the Speedy but it’s actually quite pretty with the vintage, equestrian-inspired print featured on the handbag. It appears to be about the same size of a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30, giving a bagista more than enough room to fit her prized possessions in.

The Longchamp Logo Print Satchel was made for the celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary and is actually a very cute bag with a great price. A price may I add that is not that high for a handbag that was made in France, the land of fabulous designers. The handbag is priced at $615, just $85 less than a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. Most bagista’s love Louis Vuitton but if you want a change the Longchamp Logo Print Handheld Satchel is a great addition to any collection. I’ve never paid much attention to Longchamp but this handbag has given me a new insight to the brand.

Versace Venus-Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag
Last week I wrote about the Versace Croc Embossed Patent Leather Satchel and now this week I bring to you the Versace Venus-Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag. Not as pretty at the Satchel but definitely very unique. The handbag is featured in the ever popular purple for this fall. In my opinion, gorgeous color not so gorgeous texture though. The Ostrich stamped leather, to me, makes the handbag look ridiculously gaudy as if it’s another piece of jewelry. The Ostrich may be on the not so pretty side, but I’m loving the patent leather. I’ve always been addicted to patent leather and to see a purple bag in patent leather is a sight you don’t see very often. Some positives about the handbag is that is conveniently has: patch pockets on the side, a magnetic snap closure, a flat patent base with metal feet, and a zip, patch and cell phone pocket inside.

The price tag on Versace handbags make me screech. All Versace handbags are priced very high and this handbag is no different than the others. The Versace Venus-Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag is priced at $2,880. Looks like the only thing I’m loving about this handbag is the purple patent leather.

Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Hobo Handbag
Recently, the Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Hobo has been spotted on the arms of many celebrities. This includes Vanessa Minnillo, who was photographed some time ago with this handbag in yellow. Personally, I find the Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Hobo to be quite attractive. The slouchy style is just perfect for everyday use. Plus I think the clips on the sides add a unique finishing touch. But there is something that I dislike about this handbag — its size! The Nikki Hobo is just enormous. And personally, I prefer a smaller handbag. But there is good news (at least for me anyway). GAP Leather Satchel Handbag
I think every Bagista is a fan of the convertible bag, well, at least I am. What’s not to love about those handbag-by-day, large-clutch-by-night pieces? As we all know a numerous amount of designers have released their own versions of the style, including Foley & Corinna, Miu Miu and Coach. Look who else is following the trend, the great American brand GAP has released yet another version of the fold over bag. It’s leather, vintage-y, and cute. I like how its look is clean and not busy, making it suitable for the office or to dress down. Roomy interior slots and one large exterior pocket can also be found on this satchel. In regards to the leather body, I can’t really say much about its durability since I’ve never owned a leather Gap bag, but its texture does look decent. If your willing to try the style, but splurging on a designer piece isn’t an option, why not give Gap’s version a chance? You can find this bag with a decent price tag of $150 in Brown or True Black. Francesco Biasia Tess Shoulder Bag
I’m not really sure why, but I have been staring at Francesco Biasia handbags a lot lately. I love their structured, yet slightly slouchy, shapes. I love their eye-popping colors (especially the candy apple red). And I love how they are so reasonably priced. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t discriminate against more expensive designers. But when you’re a college student like I am, you sort of want to have some money left over to buy your textbooks. So I have been eye-balling this Francesco Biasia Tess Shoulder Bag for a little while now. It is available in this color that they call Morus. I have absolutely no clue what color Morus is supposed to be, but the handbag appears to be a metallic chocolate brown to me. The contrasting trim and handles, as well as the pewter-looking hardware, really give this handbag a unique look. In fact, I think it would be just perfect for Fall and it would coordinate well with just about any outfit you can imagine. I also love the dual compartment inside, which is a must for anyone who likes to keep their bag organized.

The Francesco Biasia Tess Shoulder Bag measures 17″ x 11″ x 4″ and has 23″ long straps. The flap top closure secures neatly with a large metal clip. It retails for $390.
