Celebrity Style: Piper Palin’s fake Louis Vuitton Bag
I remember when I obtained my very first designer handbag; I was in my mid teen years when my parents bought me a brand new monogram Speedy 30. It took much persuasion as they weren’t too convinced that spending $565 (at that time) on a handbag was suitable for their kid. Speaking of kids, check out Miss. Piper Palin’s style. Ok… she isn’t your typical celebrity or my fashion idol, but you must admit, she’s such a cutie! I can only image what I would have done with a Louis Vuitton at the age of 7, but Piper seems to enjoy her handbag of choice. So what’s the problem with this picture? Yes, you guessed it… it’s the handbag. I never got the concept of celebrities sporting fake designer handbags. You would think such a large bank account with unlimited expenditures, a fake would never cross their mind. The most logical explanation to celebrities with fakes would be that they were either given to them, or they were simply tricked into buying them. In the case of Miss. Piper, she was definitely handed down that bag she’s carrying as I can’t consider her personally going into a Louis Vuitton boutique and picking up something for herself, FAO Schwarz definitely, but not Louis Vuitton. Sarah Palin, if you have the moolah to spend on Salvatore Ferragamo pumps, please don’t allow Piper to carry fakes. Buying knockoffs is bad for the economy and for $750 (reported price of Piper’s handbag) you can actually buy her a brand new and authentic Vuitton.

Marc Jacobs Collection Jen Bag
Look Jennifer! This handbag has your name written all over it! Introducing the Marc Jacobs Collection Jen Bag (from the Resort 2009 Collection). Maybe this is a sign that Marc Jacobs has been reading Bag Bliss and decided to design a handbag just for you. Or… maybe not. Oh well, at least the thought was pretty cool. So how do all you bagistas out there feel about Jennifer’s namesake? Personally, I really love this bag. It is so sleek and simple — just perfect for a well polished look. A work bag, perhaps? Most definitely. I am also particularly fond of the inverted pleat on the front. Not only does it bring an element of interest to an otherwise plain-looking style, but it also softens the overall look just a little bit. And since this bag could literally go anywhere, I think it would make a great cornerstone for a newly started handbag collection.
The Marc Jacobs Collection Jen Bag is available in Black (shown) or Pink. The soft, smooth leather is accented with a gold-printed logo plaque. It measures 11″ x 16″ x 5.5″ and has a zippered top closure. It retails for a very reasonable $775 (well, reasonable by Marc Jacobs standards that is).

I remember awhile back when a few of the girls over at TBF were drooling over the MBMJ Totally Turnlock Faridah bag. The super soft leather, the cute little turnlocks, the convenient exterior pockets, and the shoulder bag styling were listed as redeeming qualities. And I have to admit, I agreed with everyone when they said it was a great everyday bag. This bag is both casual and stylish. And since this bag seemed so popular, I wasn’t surprised when I learned Marc had reintroduced the style with an added twist. That’s right! The MBMJ Totally Turnlock Faridah has been given an urban-chic upgrade. It is now available in ultra shiny patent leather. This bag is so shiny, you can literally see your face in it. So how does everyone feel about this new version of the MBMJ Totally Turnlock Faridah? Is it a total hit? Or would you rather stick with the traditional, soft leather version? Personally, I think the patent is nice. However, if given the choice, I would probably pick the soft leather version.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Etoile Partenaire PM Agenda
I have always wanted a Louis Vuitton agenda, but I wanted something different that would stick out. The regular Monogram agenda was too bland for me, and it had seemed that every girl in college had one. I’m obsessed with the Multicolor collection but I figured it would get really dirty having to deal with everyday usage. About a week ago I spotted the Louis Vuitton Monogram Agenda Etoile Partenaire Agenda on eLUXURY and I was took! It was so gorgeous, that it almost just almost made me drool. It’s just like the Monogram agenda but with a prettier and classier look. The triple quilted monogram canvas and the extravagant gold hardware make the agenda look stunning. Another feature that makes this agenda extra special and is also not seen on the regular monogram canvas agenda is the twist-lock closure. The twist-lock closure gives the agenda a more sophisticated look to me, and as an extra bonus it has “Louis Vuitton” engraved on it. Everything about this agenda is just simply stunning from back to front.
Louis Vuitton agendas can cost hundreds of dollars so it’s no surprise that the Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Etoile Partenaire PM Agenda is priced at $510. Pretty steep for an agenda, but I must say this is one fabulous looking agenda. The Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Etoile Partenaire PM Agenda is brand new and probably won’t be around for long.
