Deal of the Day: Prada Lead Metallic Bag
Lately, I’ve been seeing quite a few basket woven handbags by various designers. Personally, I’m not crazy over the concept, as I prefer smooth surfaces on my handbags, instead. Like every other texture, you have your good and bad pieces… and this woven leather bag, is just a bad example of the art of weaving. Did any of you Bagista’s actually know who the designer to this piece was prior to reading the title? Yeah, I consider myself a bag –fanatic and even I didn’t figure this out. Surprisingly, this medieval looking leather shoulder bag is by Prada! I was pretty shocked as well as I didn’t expect that either. I apologize to any fans of this piece out there, but this bag should be listed in Prada’s Bags-of-Shame list. Although the exterior lining is described as supple leather, it looks so masculine, stiff, and incomplete. I love neutral color handbags, and grey leaves no exceptions, but the color Lead found on this Prada, is too true, sort of like duct tape! This is definitely uniquely crafted and all, but I think I’ve seen better duct-tape accessories, literally. Right now you can find this piece for $2,040, already marked down 20% off!

Puma Runway Grip Bag
If you want a “Speedy-like” handbag at a more affordable price I have found the perfect handbag that is also quite beautiful! I present the Puma Runway Grip Bag and I must say this handbag is stunning! I consider Puma to be a casual/sport brand and for them to come out with a handbag this fabulous is kind of shocking. Only huge downfall about this handbag is that it is a faux-leather handbag but if you favor the no-killing of animals for handbags you may just love the Puma Runway Grip Bag! The handbag comes with a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap, gold hardware, has plenty of room with its height of 14 inches and length of 17 inches and it even has a Puma logo plate on the front of the bag. The Runway Grip Bag comes in two different colors: white and black. Both colors are fabulous but my favorite is the white! Yes, the white would be a maintenance problem but if this handbag was real leather I would snatch it up in a heart beat!
The Puma Runway Grip Bag retails for $120, but it is currently on sale at shopbop for $60. Not a bad price but, for something that isn’t real leather, I’m not sure I would even pay that. Besides the faux-leather, everything else is a plus with the Puma Runway Grip Bag!

Well, it looks like Rebecca Minkoff has got in on the quilted trend and I must say she did a fabulous job! Not only did Minkoff get in on the trend but she perfected it by adding beautiful patent leather to the bag! I’m a patent leather junkie, so to see a quilted bag with patent leather is a beautiful sight! The goldtone buckles on the sides accent the quilted pattern of the bag beautifully. A major plus for this handbag is that is has protective metal feet on the bottom of the bag and it comes with a heart shaped removable mirror that is on a removable chain. If you are the type of bagista that loves pockets for your stylish essentials you are in for a treat! The Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Patent MAB bag has a total of four pockets featured throughout the bag. Of those pockets the one I see as the most useful is the exterior zip pocket located on the front of the bag. I love exterior pockets especially large ones because when I’m on the go or in a rush they come in handy to just throw my cell phone and keys in it and go on my way to my destination.
The Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Patent MAB Bag retails for $595 and, for a fabulous bag like this, I would say that is a great buy! It’s beautiful, easy maintenance, and keeps you worry free in bad weather. In my opinion this handbag gets an A+!

Okay, this is the most fabulous, luxe computer sleeve out there.
I just heard about this really amazing designer, Violet May who makes these ultra-fabulous silver python computer clutches.
The Luxe Python is a true statement piece in silver python print embossed leather, the computer clutch has a cotton gross grain mint green lining and it’s also available in a fabric version with a silver python detailing.

I have always loved the Louis Vuitton Galliera, and it looks as if Coach has made their own version of the Galliera. I bring to you the Coach Zoe, and it reminds me of a more affordable version of the Galliera. The Zoe isn’t as pretty as the Galliera but it sure does come in plenty of colors. With the amount of colors this handbag comes in, you are bound to find at least one color of the handbag that you find appealing. To be exact, over at Nordstrom.com, the handbag currently is available for purchase in seven different colors. My favorite color is the orchid but each color is fabulous in its own way. Some features of the handbag is that is has a zip top closure, interior pockets for your different necessities, very spacious, and most importantly it’s stylish. If my heart wasn’t set on the Louis Vuitton Azur Galliera PM, I would probably opt for the Coach Zoe in one of it’s many colors.
The Coach Zoe is currently available for purchase at Nordstrom.com and is priced at $348, which I don’t think is that bad or high of a price. Coach has been pretty outrageous with their prices lately and I must say this isn’t that high of a price for them right now. Cute bag and definitely worth the price, if I could only get passed the whole Galliera comparison I would probably love it even more.
