Here’s an item that would rank on the top of my list of handbags I would never be caught wearing. Meet the Patent Leather Basket Tote by Miu Miu. I am a fan of the Italian based brand Miu Miu, from their feminine leather handbags to their bold and funky shoes, I love them all. So I was in complete utter shock when I ran into this tote of theirs. Who’s the brains behind this bag and why didn’t they complete it? The handbags details are as shocking as it gets, glossy black patent leather forms the weave silhouette of this basket-like tote bag; with all those openings found throughout this bag, you can kiss some of your smallest essentials goodbye. Miu Miu prepared this tote with a removable drawstring satin pouch to keep your stuff private, and it’s pretty disappointing how much it looks like a dust bag rather than a removable pouch.

Marc Jacobs never disappoints when it comes to designing handbags. Whether it’s for his Marc Jacobs or Marc by Marc Jacobs line, he always has stunning handbags for each collection. My newly favorite Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag is the Softy Tobo Bag. The Softy Tobo Bag comes in three different colors: Bianco (white); Black; and Deep Fuchsia. Each color on the bag looks gorgeous. Usually when a handbag comes in a variety of colors, only one or two colors look decent on the bag. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Softy Tobo Bag looks so good in all the colors it comes in, that it may be kind of hard just to choose one to buy!

Some details of the handbag include: a magnetic snap closure; exterior elastic slip pockets; interior pockets; and striped lining. My favorite detail of the bag have to be the exterior slip pockets. I love when their are pockets located on the exterior of the bag because if I’m in a rush I can easily put my keys, lip gloss, or even cash in one of the pockets without shuffling through my purse.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Softy Tobo Bag can be purchased at Nordstrom for $498. The bag is adorable but I do believe that the price tag for this purse is a little much. I would rather put that big chunk of change towards a Louis Vuitton Speedy but of course that is just my opinion. High price tag or not, this handbag is adorable!

It seems to me that Fendi has been getting a bit more colorful lately. And when I say colorful, I mean a rainbow of pastels! In fact, just prior to me writing this post, my fellow blogger Deysa wrote about another rather colorful Fendi bag. This new pastel trend that’s going on is sort of out of character for Fendi. When they do color, it usually consists of brights (with the except of some pale pink bags here and there). I’m not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing. In fact, sometimes it’s nice when designers explore things that lie outside their normal realm.

Now speaking of colorful Fendi’s, here we have an interesting-looking bag that is definitely pastel! It’s called the Fendi Sequined Forever Boston Bag. To tell you the truth, I think the bag is kinda cute. The only problem is that it is definitely not something you could wear every day. And given the fact that this bag is rather small and chocked-full of sequins, it almost looks like an evening bag. What I find most interesting about this bag the signature canvas that lies beneath the layer of sequins. When you look at the bag straight-on, you can’t see the pattern. However, when you look at the bag from an angle, those familiar little F’s magically appear. Cool effect, huh?

The Fendi Sequined Forever Boston Bag is available in Pink or Yellow. It measures 9.5″ x 7″ x 6″ and features an adorable padlock that secures the zipper. Find it at FORZIERI, where it retails for $820.

Looks like there is a pricing error over at Nordstrom.com! They marked the Angela in purple as retailing for $569.90 — while it’s sister in black is $950.

Is this an error? The details are all the same..

Michael Kors has been releasing some beautiful bags lately that are making me drool! One of the stunning handbags is the MICHAEL Michael Kors Jamesport Large Shoulder Tote and it is absolutely gorgeous. The tote comes in two different colors: Black and Walnut (tan), but black is my all time favorite of the two. The black version, in my opinion, is much more versatile than the walnut version. Black handbags can be worn either day or night, and definitely match more accessories and clothing than a walnut handbag. The walnut version is very beautiful, but unless you have things that can match it properly, it will probably sit in your closet a majority of the time.

Some of the details of the handbag include a: magnetic snap closure; shoulder strap; interior pockets; and logo-print lining. It does look as if Michael Kors got his inspiration for this bag from the Foley + Corinna city bags. No it doesn’t look exactly like the city bags, but it does look like a more classy and stylish version of the coveted Foley + Corinna bag.

The MICHAEL Michael Kors Jamesport Large Shoulder Tote can be purchased at Nordstrom for $368. I think $368 is a great price for this handbag! The handbag is gorgeous, versatile, and looks fashionable! This is one of those handbags that is worth the price, because it looks as if it cost much more than the price tag says!

If you love L.A.M.B. as well as the Louis Vuitton Speedy then you are in for a treat! L.A.M.B. has came out with a handbag that has L.A.M.B. written all over it, but yet resembles a Louis Vuitton Speedy!

The handbag is full of black, gray, and white so you are limited of what you can wear this bag with. Unless you are wearing dark colors, you might want to stay away from this bag. Also, even though the handbag is full of great colors, I would only consider this a day bag. Call me crazy, but with the colors, style, and structure of the bag it just seems more appropriate as a day bag versus a night bag.

Some details of the L.A.M.B. Signature Top Zip Satchel include: a top zip closure; interior pockets; PVC with leather trim; and golden hardware. The handbag is complete with a golden logo plate on the exterior of the bag with “L.A.M.B.” inscribed on it.

The L.A.M.B. Signature Top Zip Satchel can be purchased at Nordstrom for $395. I can’t decide if the price is worth it or not but if you compare it to a lot of high fashion purses out there, this bag is a steal! This would definitely be a cute bag to add to any handbag collection!
