It’s Miss Lindsay Lohan, the celeb who seems to never leave the spotlight or the tabloids. The media seems to take note and critic her every move, I on the other hand, am more concerned over her funky outfit of choice rather than the star herself. Take a look at Lindsay’s style for the day; do you think her look is utterly cool or simply horrid? I can’t seem to like her 80’s punk meets gladiator look, and her messy hair-do isn’t helping much at all. Although the tall lace up sandals and purple cheetah tank has got to go, I have a very different opinion towards her handbag for the day. Notice the western looking bag dangling off the crook of her arm; it’s the Black Suede Bag by JJ Winters Joyce. This isn’t the first time Lindsay’s spotted with this bag, so she must like it for more than one reason. I personally adore the fringed suede and the gold toned studs and hardware that’ll add the perfect amount of bling to any outfit.

Check out the actress dressed like a school teacher, it’s Jennifer Garner looking extra nice and sweet. Such feminine pieces Jennifer chose to wear; a navy skirt, ruffled blouse, a red polka dotted cardigan. Worn all at once, isn’t necessarily the most fashionable outfit to sport out, but regardless, she still looks lovely. Off the top of my head I wouldn’t know which handbag of mine I would wear with this outfit. Jennifer found her indigo Marc by Marc Jacobs bag to be the perfect choice for her look.

Notice the popular satchel? It’s the Classic Huge Hillier Hobo in what appears to be Indigo or perhaps a shade of Wine. Such a comfortable and slouchy piece would make a great mom bag or simply the perfect day to night wear. I can’t state how convenient this tote is with the single shoulder and detachable leather strap found on it, Jennifer obviously can’t decide which style she prefers the best as she holds her Hillier Hobo with both straps in hand.

Now’s the time to take out that summer bag you purchased this spring as the weather remains warm and sunny. Celebrity and actress Katherine Heigl can relate to this. Check out the spring 09’ tote bag she’s seen pushing back up onto her shoulder, it’s the Memphis Python Robert Lexie tote by no other than Marc Jacobs for his collection. Eye catching from miles away and as cool as Katherine herself, this summery bag seems to make the perfect debut in this hot July weather. Although most ladies weren’t head over heels for this piece when it first released, I absolutely adored how exclusive and unique the entire Marc Jacobs Spring collection was. This yellow tote bag consists of shiny dyed python leathers and metallic nylon drawstrings and shoulder straps. An open top allows quick access to your goodies and the large 16”x 18” dimensions allow this tote to be the perfect wear from school or the office to shopping trips and overnight luggage. This funky piece is adorned in contrasting colors, a lock, and colorful tassel-like decors!

Check out the actress dressed in leather. It’s the lovely Ashley Greene enjoying a day out of quick shopping before hitting MTV studios in New York City. In case you aren’t too familiar with this stunning lady, she plays the role of the cool vampire Alice Cullen’s, in the Twilight movie. Not so dark looking off the cameras, she actually looks chic and cool in those leather shorts and her flirty floral top. Notice her handbag of the day by her side; it’s the famous Hysteria Small Bag by Gucci. I actually like this style quite much for the fact that it’s so discrete with minimal everything. You basically get gathered vertical pleats of luscious Gucci leather, flat double handles and shiny gold Gucci crest details. If you prefer something hands free, you can use the detachable body strap found on this bag. Simple, but truly gorgeous. This comfy hobo bag can be found in various sizes, colorful and exotic leathers, but as Ashley chose to have it, the shiny black version is my pick and definitely a safe one to go with.

What’s fresh over at Fendi are these adorable Marshmallow Flap Bag’s. Since the moment I ran into them I knew these pieces were truly perfect for the lady who craves a great designer shoulder bag. Both carry this great silhouette resembling an oversized version of the infamous Fendi baguette hanging off a single shoulder strap.

In more detail, soft gathered pleats meet at the center of this shoulder bag where you can also find an oversized double F’s metal logo. Secured by a front flap opening and sealed shut by means of a snap closure allows quick access to your goods in a simple and stylish method. A classic interpretation of leather and chain can be found on this chain-link shoulder strap, which adds character and sophistication compared to your typical simple leather shoulder strap. I absolutely adore both classic leather and logo cotton jacquard versions and I can see how both would serve best in different occasions.

Although these shoulder bags are pleasant and stylish for years to come, I’m not too fond of the price tag at the moment. Big bags are extremely popular right now and its seems that many people feel “the bigger the better”. Personally, I am not a big bag kind of girl. But I do like to carry a large tote when appropriate. So what’s not to like about a big bag? They can carry a lot of stuff and they can really make a statement with just about any outfit. But I think most ladies will agree with me when I say “it sure is dark in there”. Seriously, though. How annoying is it when you’re looking for something inside your bag and you can’t see a thing in there? I imagine this would be especially true in situations when the lighting is limited.

Now I’ve seen handbags that come with a little light inside them. But you know what? I wouldn’t buy a bag just because it had a light inside! I would actually have to like the bag in question and to this day have never come across one that appeals to me. Marc Jacobs has done it again by bringing us another beautiful Cecilia Satchel. This time the satchel is purple and studded. The bag is absolutely gorgeous, but it would of been better if I discovered this bad when the “stud trend” was at it’s height. I’ve always said though, not to follow trends and wear whatever you want at any moment. If you love studs, then you most likely will love this purse.

I love this bag, but I think if it came in black with gold studs it would look even more fabulous! Plus, you can match a black handbag with just about anything, whereas you can’t with purple.

I think the style and shape of this bag are absolutely amazing, but looks can be deceiving. By looking at the picture of the handbag, I would think that the bag is pretty big, and spacious. When in reality, as soon as you turn the bag to the side you can see how it’s not very wide. It’s obvious you wouldn’t be able to fit much of anything in this bag. Perhaps you could fit your keys, makeup bag, wallet and I’m not sure what else. If this bag was a little wider, it would be perfect!

I have always loved the Alexander McQueen Skull Box Clutches, but when I came across the Skull Knuckle Duster Whipsnake Clutch I was instantly in love. It’s basically an upgraded and fashionable version of the Skull Box Clutch.

Everything about this clutch screams amazing and it would look absolutely amazing with an adorable black dress. My favorite feature of this clutch is definitely the knuckles. Each knuckle has a different theme to it, and I love that! Although, I kind of wish each knuckle was a different type of skull but two skulls are better than none!

There is only one “con” about this gorgeous clutch and it’s the size! I’m not quite sure what I could actually fit in it. Would a cell phone even fit in it? I suppose when a clutch looks this stunning, it doesn’t matter what can actually fit in it, as long as you are able to carry it around. I’m sure all you could possibly fit in it would be: cash, credit cards, and maybe a lip gloss. I ask myself, even though the clutch is beautiful and definitely unique looking, is it really worth it given the extremely high price of it?

The Alexander McQueen Skull Knuckle Duster Whipsnake Clutch retails for $1,895 at Saks Fifth Avenue. Yes, the clutch is gorgeous but I’m not sure it’s worth that high price but of course that is just my opinion. Expensive or not this clutch is a beauty!
