Yves Saint Laurent Spiral Clutch + a YSL Freebie!

Yves Saint Laurent Spiral Clutch
Fashion meets stationary in one of the latest accessories to hit the runway this fall; it’s the Spiral Clutch by Yves Saint Laurent. Its name is self-explanatory and there’s no secret to it, this clutches most noticeable detail is hands down its spiral bound edge.

Why the spirals and who got inspired by the common notebook? That we may never know, but at least YSL keeps on feeding us new and fresh ideas each season.

This clutch arrives in patent black leather with a smooth suede interior, which I like. It also measures in at a typical medium sized notebook dimensions. I personally can’t see myself accessorizing up with this for a formal night out, so wearing this clutch to school or to the office, seems a bit more fitting. I’d call this style dramatically cool, but something I wouldn’t be able to give into. I just can’t comprehend such an awkward detail of enhanced metal spirals being thrown onto a clutch, but if you’re in seek of an edgy addition to your collection, this unique piece might be for you.

Ladies, what’s your input on the Spiral Clutch, can you see this becoming an YSL classic or is it simply a disappointment?

Valentino Kaleido Vertical Tote

Valentino Kaleido Vertical Tote
Valentino has recently introduced us to the “Kaleido Vertical Tote” and I must admit it is different. The question is though, is this handbag unique or just plain tacky? The whole entire handbag is dressed in resin stones. It may look as if the handbag has a futuristic feel, and does pass as something that would be labeled as “cool.” To actually wear this handbag in public is a different story. For one thing, it would look like you are carrying one big mirror on your shoulder. It could be helpful if you needed a mirror fairly quick, but other than that what good is this bag?

One major downfall about this bag, is that we all know handbags go through wear and tear. What would someone do if one of the resin stones fell out? It would be like a sore spot on the handbag, when the whole bag looks like glass then you see a chunk missing.

I’m not even sure what season to carry thing bag in to be honest. It has such a different look, that I suppose you could wear it whenever you pleased. It doesn’t have a main color that sticks out, so it’s kind of a toss up for when you would use this handbag.

I would personally love to know how much this bag weighs. I’m sure with all those stones, the handbag is quite heavy. Imagine it already being heavy, then after putting all of your stylish essentials in the bag how much more heavier would it be?

I usually love Valentino but I have to admit that this handbag is a fashion error to me. The worst part of it all isn’t even the look of the bag it’s the price!
Valentino Kaleido Vertical Bag
The Valentino Kaleido Vertical Tote can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $2,995, which is absolutely absurd to me. Not only is the handbag ugly, but the price is even uglier! Tacky purse with a horrible price, what more else can go wrong with this bag?

Marc By Marc Jacobs Baby Groovee Satchel

Marc By Marc Jacobs Baby Groovee Satchel
The Groovee Satchel is back and it is now available in fun size! Introducing the Marc By Marc Jacobs Baby Groovee Satchel! It packs all of the punch of the regular size Groovee Satchel into a much smaller package! So how do I feel about this? I love it! I think it would make a great bag for carrying around your everyday essentials without all the added bulk. I actually tried this bag on today at my favorite department store. I kid you not, there is a lot of room inside this small bag! Plus it’s versatile, offering both a hand held and shoulder strap option. That is something I really love in a handbag because you can wear it multiple ways, depending on your current mood or needs at the time.

Kooba adds shoes to Spring 2010 Collection

Kooba adds shoes to Fall 2010 Collection
Footwear News!

Kooba has added shoes to the mix for their Spring 2010 collection. The long anticipated arrival, by many Kooba lovers, is set for August 5th at the FFANY New York Shoe Expo.

The collection will feature platforms, flats and gladiator sandals with a similar look to the firm’s classic hobo bags and totes. The shoes will retail from $225 to $450.

Founder and creative director at Kooba, Abbe Held recently spoke with WWD on this addition – “I’ve always been obsessed with shoes, so after building a successful handbag business, it just seemed like a natural next step to translate our unique mix of rich and interesting leathers, attention to detail, and an effortlessly chic sensibility into footwear.”

Kooba is sold at these locations: Saks Fifth Avenue, ShopBop, LunaBoston, TheHipChick, Pink Mascara, Singer22, ChickDowntown, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales. And always on sale at Zappos, Bluefly, and here on eBay.

Side Note: Sneak peek pictures coming soon!

Michael Kors Hamilton Chain Tote

michael Michael Kors Hamilton Chain Tote
I’m a huge fan of Michael Kors, and I actually own quite a few of his fashionable accessories. I’m always catching myself going into the Michael Kors store, and drooling over everything. Everything Michael Kors makes is gorgeous and not to mention stunning.

I currently own two Michael Kors handbags, but I own tons of his shoes. I’m currently in love with the MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton Chain Tote. For one thing, it’s made entirely of patent leather. Whenever I see a handbag in patent leather, I’m usually in awe and this handbag is no exception. Everything about this handbag is beautiful!
Michael Kors Hamilton Chain Tote
My favorite feature about this handbag is the overall shape and style of the bag. I love the height of the bag. Being that the handbag is so long, you can definitely carry a lot around in it. I also think the logo-engraved lock is adorable! I’ve always seen locks featured on Louis Vuitton handbags and never a Michael Kors bag. The lock detail really puts some emphasis into this bag, and adds something different that is not seen on Michael Kors bags.

If you love the color black, as much as I do, then you would probably wear this handbag constantly. If I were to buy this handbag, I would carry it day or night, and during any season. Black handbags are a weakness to me, and I’m craving to get this one.

You can purchase the MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton Chain Tote at Michael Kors $298, which I believe to be an amazing price for this handbag. This is definitely a handbag I would love to add to my collection!
