Every time Michael Kors comes out with a batch of new handbags and shoes I’m in total awe. I never thought he could top the gorgeous “Uptown Astor” handbag collection, but he did. The “Erin” handbag collection is drop dead gorgeous and I need to get my hands on one of the pieces ASAP.

One of my favorite handbags from the “Erin” collection is the “Large Shoulder” bag. The bag is beautiful with a touch of classiness. I had thought the “Uptown Astor” collection was edgy and trendy, but the “Erin” collection is more simple and sophisticated looking which makes it fabulous.

Katy Perry is all smiles on this rainy day in Los Angeles. Don’t worry though, at least she had her trusty umbrella handy to keep her stylish look from getting drenched. And what an outfit it is! The newly engaged singer appears to have given the gold with black look her own personal spin. She paired her black, geometric print dress with black tights and black ankle boots. And to help bring out the gold accents in her dress, Katy choose to carry her Chloe Paddington Satchel in Gold. What I like about her handbag is that it is metallic and it is gold, but it isn’t screaming at you. The gold is somewhat muted and the leather appears polished rather than shiny. Now when it comes to metallics, gold would probably not be my number one choice. But I could totally see myself wearing a gold like this, it’s just so pretty. And the Chloe Paddington Satchel is such a classic and well-known style. Even in a shade like this, the bag would still be a timeless piece.

My guess is that Carrie Bradshaw would not approve of Sarah Jessica Parker’s outfit you see pictured here. I love her extra-long 3.1 Philip Lim cardigan and her pretty taupe scarf. Plus her white belt accentuates her waist quite nicely. But paired with white jeans and tan booties? Yikes! But what’s that flash of pink I see there? Why it’s none other than Sarah Jessica Parker’s famous Diane De Maria Bonnie Bag. Now that is something Carrie Bradshaw would definitely approve of! Diane De Maria, great-granddaughter of Pierre De Maria, gains her inspiration from her travels. Her designs feature geometric patterns etched onto a patent background, giving her pieces an energetic feel. The pink version (what Sarah is carrying) is due out during the Spring 2010 season. However, if pink isn’t your thing, the Diane De Maria Bonnie Bag is currently available in its Fall/Winter colors. Wouldn’t this bag be gorgeous in purple?

What could be more feminine than a lace handbag? Oh wait… is that really lace? It sure looks like it is! But guess what ladies! The Valentino 360 Embroidered Shoulder Bag is actually made of straw that was embroidered into the handbag to give the illusion of lace.

If I had a nice chunk of money to spare on a designer handbag that I’ll admire more than I’ll actually wear, I’d head on over to the Nancy Gonzalez section and give into the Framed Python Satchel.

There is something about this satchel that makes me awe in disbelieve at what you could get for your moneys worth. In comparison to other high-end designer brands, for $2650, you’re likely to get something such as luscious lambskin or another kind of distressed leathers, but when it comes down to shopping for a Nancy Gonzalez accessory, you’re sure to get each and every penny’s worth.
