The house of Balenciaga has been wowing people with its creative designs for decades. It is even rumored that people risked life and limb by traveling to Europe during World War II just to see Balenciaga’s latest clothing designs. Today, Balenciaga is still highly regarded in the fashion industry. However, the name is most widely recognized for its contribution to the world of designer handbags. Prada is just one of those names that is synonymous with quality, high -ashion and classic style. If you are just entering the world of high-end handbags or are a well-established fashionista with a significant collection, the wonderful designs produced for this season is reason enough to take a look!

There’s a sense of outdoor attitude in several major houses’ designs this season. Chanel started it off with a fashion show featuring a farm motif, complete with hay strewn on the floor and earthy albeit uber-high clogs! With the Prada Cervo Shine Bowler, I get a bit of that same vibe. I’m struck with the casual feel this bowler has from the lustrous camel leather. The curvy design of polished deerskin reminds me of a well-loved and maintained saddle. The exposed top stitching exucdes that artisanal craftsman detail continues that motif. This is definitely a bag to carry everyday. A real “workhorse” handbag for your wardrobe.

There is still a sense of sophistication to this bag with the double handled bowler shape that gives you the luxury – literally – of carrying it with more than denim and boots or clogs! It simply gives me the impression you’ll be able to tote this around for many years to come!

I love Lodis accessories! They make the cutest small leather goods and they are so practical too! I especially love their framed clutch wallets, they make switching your things from one bag to the next a snap! But today, I was surprised to learn that Lodis also makes handbags. Handbags? Really? Yep! And here’s your proof… introducing the Lodis Synergy Lysette Satchel! Oddly enough though, this bag looks nothing like the small leather goods I have come to know and love from this brand. If I had not seen who this bag was made by, I would have sworn it was by Olivia Harris (Joy Gryson’s more “affordable” handbag line). Not that that is a bad thing, it was just very surprising for me. Once the initial shock had worn off though, I found that the bag was beginning to grow on me. The shrunken leather gives this bag such a nice “broken in” look, as if you had been carrying it for many years. It’s a casual bag that would look great paired with jeans. I love the overall shape of the bag, but I feel like it wouldn’t be very appropriate as a shoulder bag. The straps would be too short if you were wearing something bulky, like a coat. In this case, I definitely think this was meant to be a satchel.

Mila Kunis was out and about last Sunday in Beverly Hills. She looked like she was ready to hit the gym with her t-shirt, leggings, and tennis shoes. But that was no gym bag in Mila’s hand. Nope, Mila was carrying her Coach Sabrina Satchel and she was actually out spending the day (Father’s Day) with her dad. Spotted with this bag on numerous occasions, it seems that it is one of Mila’s favorites. But who could blame her? The Coach Sabrina Satchel is such a classic style that is sure to stand the test of time. I personally love the clean lines and basic shape. Plus Mila’s bag is such a great color — Camel! We all know how hot neutrals are right now! So dress it up or dress it down, this bag is sure to go with just about anything (even a t-shirt, leggings, and tennis shoes).

Kate Hudson was spotted strolling the streets of West Village, the western portion of the Greenwich Village neighborhood in New York City, last week. Perched proudly on her shoulder is her infamous Louis Vuitton Antheia Hobo. The actress has been spotted carrying the bag on several occasions since the handbag’s release in February of this year. But, hey, who could blame her? The bag is simply stunning! It seems Louis Vuitton has been having a thing for hobos lately, but this one is by far the most beautiful. The Louis Vuitton Antheia Hobo features an ornate embroidered Monogram pattern. The lambskin leather is soft, supple, and luxurious. The style comes in two different sizes (PM and GM), but it looks like Kate’s bag is the larger size. It also appears that Kate’s bag is the color called Fumee, which is a beautiful smokey gray color. However, this collection is also available in Caramel, Olive, and Frambroise (all of which are equally gorgeous!).

A new name has made it’s way into the world of handbags. And that name is Ashard Richley! But who is Ashard Richley? Founded by Ashley and Richard Burghardt in August 2009, Ashard Richley strives to create fashionable handbags that won’t break the bank. The real brains behind the designs, however, is Ashley. The Texas Tech University grad worked for both Be&D and Coach before taking the plunge and pursuing her very own handbag collection. And so far, I am liking what I am seeing! The handbags are fun and a little bit edgy — perfect for the woman who is looking for something unique. Think bright colors, bold hardware, and… girlie ruffles? Yes, there are actually some styles that have all three! But what I like most about these handbags is the fact that they are so affordable. So don’t be afraid to experiment a little — indulge in something funky and fun!

When Jessica Biel was first spotted sporting this tote bag, it caused quite a stir. Everyone was asking — who makes that bag? It turns out that Jessica’s bag was the Lauren Moshi Bow Bag. Of course! It should have been obvious considering how many celebs (Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift, Paris Hilton, etc) have been spotted wearing the exact same print on one of Lauren Moshi’s tops. But, as you know, it is not always easy putting two and two together. And you know what? After having thought about it, I came to the conclusion that this is one cute tote bag! Perhaps not as cute as the tops with this print, but it’s still pretty darn cute.

Love… love is… hmm, what is love? This is a very good question. But it is one that doesn’t come with an easy answer. If I were to guess though, I would say that love is this Heather Hawkins Large Love Is… Clutch (a giant-sized version of the designer’s original fold-over design). This lovely clutch is made of Italian patent leathers, all of which are hand-selected. I wouldn’t describe the leather as patent, however. It looks more like a glazed leather to me. The hand-woven crisscross pattern is gorgeous and the so-called patent leather adds a lot of dimension. It looks a little bit Bottega Veneta-ish, but it is more simple and the interwoven pieces of leather are greater in width. It’s no wonder that Heather Hawkins handbags are quickly becoming a celeb favorite!
