Jean Paul Gaultier is reportedly leaving the high-end House of Hermes to concentrate on his own label and Lacoste designer, Christophe Lemaire is taking over.

Jean Paul Gaultier has been with Hermes for seven years, and the upcoming Spring/Summer 2011 Hermes collection will be Gaultier’s last.

Jimmy Choo news just posted over at WWD. Alvaro Gonzalez, the “accessory design director” in-charge over Jimmy Choo handbags and small leather goods is leaving the company at the end of July.

Who will take over has not yet been announced.

The House of Alexander McQueen has just named Sarah Burton as the new Creative Director of the Alexander McQueen brand.

Sarah Burton has been a longtime colleague of the late designer, Lee McQueen, since 1996 and was appointed head of design for the label’s women’s wear in 2000.

Stars, stripes and Burberry. The British House adds a cluster of stars to their classic satchel shape. Come to think about it, this brings back memories of middle school years where drawing stars on everything not considered a vandalization, was a must. The classic check design arrives decorated with multi-sized white stars and matching white patent leather trim, making it a perfect little satchel for the warmer days of the year.

Muratori Designs sure has us excited! It’s amazing that they are only in their second season! Their bags are so refined and luxurious, you would think they have been doing this for years!
