Spiral Notebook Clutch: Alexander Wang, Moschino, Barneys

Everybody is doing their own avant garde interpretation of the classic spiral notebook clutch. First it was Alexander Wang with the leather bound Amber, then Moschino with the My Secret Diary inscribed notebook, then most recently Barneys New York came out with their own interpretation.

All the bags have that one feature in common, the spiral detail. But what’s so different about each design? There are a few difference which makes each bag their own…

My favorite of the bunch is the Alexander Wang Amber. It actually just came out in the gray and cream leather python-print (above). To me, between all the other versions this one most closely resembles a spiral notebook, and it’s pure fabulous. Available at nap for $625

Jimmy Choo Zelda Coin Purse

Leopard and animal print is the trend of the season (one of them that is). If you find yourself craving this kitty cat print, but just can’t do a big handbag covered with it, then how about a small accessory. Jimmy Choo has the cutest little accessory ever, called the Zelda! It’s great if you’re looking for something small and versatile! And yes, I choose the word versatile to describe this teeny purse.

Jean Paul Gaultier Plisse Agneau Plonge PM Bag

Am I just looking at this bag wrong? The middle part looks like your average hobo style, but then on each side there’s this bunch of extra fabric that just flops around. Like they started piecing the bag together then decided to stop. Although I could be wrong and blamed simply on the photography. For me atleast, 80% of the time handbags look much more attractive in person rather than in the stock photo.

Retails for just under $900 over at ZAPPOS.

Yves Saint Laurent Roady in Leopard

Some bags just leave me frozen in my footsteps, which is exactly what happens everytime I come across the Yves Saint Laurent Roady in person, online, or in store. It’s one of my favorite styles by Yves Saint Laurent. I love the bags clean silhouette and memorable single top handle with gold toned hooks and rings. And now for a limited time it’s available in a roaring leopard print. Gosh, love it! Leopard is a huge trend for fall, and the Roady is my pick!

Balenciaga Folk Messenger Bag in Acier Blue

Functional as well as fabulous! I just found this amazing Balenciaga bag that’s perfect for just about any occasion. School, work, weekend, etc, the options are endless with this bag.

The body of the bag is made in a soft Acier blue suede, with dark silver toned hardware. All the signature detailing is there that anyone would identify as Balenciaga (except the yummy leather) – the classic studs and tassel detailing. Make note that the body of this bag is made of suede, so if you live in an area where it rains frequently, you may want to spray it down with a good protector. The top of this bag features a large flap with hidden magnetic closure, which is very important if you’re stuck in the rain and you have important stuff, like a laptop in your bag. Measures 13″ width x 11″ height x 4″ depth. Oh and also the shoulder strap is removable, if you ever feel like rocking the super oversized clutch trend!

Felix Rey Doris Wristlet

Put on your flash back caps. Do you remember the Prada Tessuto Fiocco Muff Bow Clutch that came out a few years ago, back in 2007? (wow, I’ve been blogging for a really long time!) That bag’s flat bow design instantly came to mind when I first discovered Felix Rey’s latest Doris Wristlet.

Christian Louboutin Eden Vision Fur Ball Clutch

There’s something about the round puffy appearance of a pompom that seems to attract mass attention, and the House of Louboutin seems to agree as well. Of course, the pompon we’re eyeing is presented in a clutch form, not as juvenile shoe décor. Feast your eyes on one of the latest creations of C. Louboutin, the Eden Vision Fur Ball Clutch.

By just focusing on the miniature shoulder candy alone, you must admit that this little accessory poof is absolutely adorable. Dangling this around by its chained straps or by simply carrying at the palm of your hand, and you’ve got an instant cuddle-ball accessory that doubles as an essential possessions holder. Sure you’ll be lucky to get your cell phone to fit into the insignificant interior of this clutch, but while you attempt to jam things into it, take note of the bright red lining and the recognizable kiss-lock shoe sculptures.

Emilio Pucci Print Tote

I adore this Emilio Pucci Print. Alot of people associate Emilio Pucci’s signature bold, colorful psychedelic prints with summer, but the blue and purple colors of this version in particular is one that’s perfect for the transition from summer to fall. You can use it as a beach bag today, then in a couple months from now use it as a weekend or day tote! The body of the bag is made of durable grained leather, so it’s very durable. I attached a bigger image of the bag so you can get an idea of the detail. Love it!

The Pucci tote retails for just under $600 over at LuisviaRoma.
