There is a handful of Alexander McQueen fans over in the Handbag Forum, me being one of them! What it is about the Alexander McQueen signature skull print that I adore so much, I could not tell you. My collection of skull print scarves are such a staple – If ever in a rush and can’t find anything to wear, match it with the most casual dressed-down look, like a simple pair of jeans and white tank for insta-fab! So yes, I love my Alexander McQueen scarves. Which is why when I received word from Net-a-Porter about their new Exclusive Laptop Case by Alexander McQueen, I nearly fell out of my seat!

Whenever Target comes out with their designer collaboration capsule collection it’s an instant hit. And come tomorrow over at Gilt Groupe, customers have an exclusive early sneak-peek access to three new Target collaborations: Tucker (tops and dresses), John Derian (home decor) and Mulberry (handbags and carryalls). Every year you can always count on the Metallic handbag trend around the Fall / Winter season. It’s one of those trends that refuses to die, it’s like stuck on a repeat schedule. Not that I’m complaining, I think it’s the perfect choice to match with a little black dress, especially around the holiday season. One that fits the bill, is the Juicy Couture Lady Lock. When it comes to Juicy Couture handbags, my opinion always falls to one side – either I like it or I don’t. And this one I definitely like (minus the chain).

Alexander Wang has once again thought out of the box, taking the classic backpack style to the next level.

The body bag of the bag is completely created out of black velvet with a black chiffon drawstring fastening tie – the perfect combination. Other features of the design include a flap mouth covering, leather belt fastening, double shoulder straps, and a couple internal pockets, which is perfect for your wallet, keys or cell.

Make note that since the bag is made completely of Velvet, if you have any pets or if you’re ever within the vicinity of a furry critter, your backpack will be a magnet for their hair. A damp cloth can take care of the little spots, however if your cat decides to make a bed out of your bag -which my cat has has done in the past!! I would not recommend dunking it in water – the bag that is :) This bag is dry clean only, so just send it off.

Wow, Botkier certainly has been pumping out a lot of new bags for this upcoming Fall season! I guess Monica has been working overtime this year! But that’s okay because I really enjoy seeing all the new designs, especially from a designer like Botkier. The company has come a long way since its beginning in 2003 and it has been so much fun watching it grow and evolve. So which Botkier handbag did I stumble upon while browsing the net this time? This lovely Hugh Satchel that you see pictured here, of course!

For the fall season, the House of Burberry has stepped into the dark side, or at least half way into the dark side. The British brand has presented to us a mysterious side of them, but not enough to do away completely with their infamous check print. Just check out the Equestrian Check (Ombré) Shopper, a piece that’s as interesting as the shadow amongst it. As I come to think of it, has Burberry ever done Ombré and check print on a single piece before?

Jessica Szohr was out and about in New York City on Wednesday. The Gossip Girl had just finished paying a visit to Regis and Kelly! For the occasion, Jessica was dressed from head to toe in crisp white attire. She accented her look with some very dramatic earrings (Wow, just look at those things!) and a navy blue handbag. But wait, isn’t that the Rebecca Minkoff Heavy Metal Flame Satchel? Well… not exactly. It is actually the Linear Stud Flame from last year. But this year’s version (the Heavy Metal Flame) is just as gorgeous! I just love that stud-encrusted look! And Rebecca Minkoff does it so well, not too chunky and a little bit feminine. I also love the delicate tassels and Speedy-like shape. It looks simply stunning showcased with Jessica’s otherwise monochromatic outfit, but you could wear this bag with just about anything! This would make a great everyday handbag for this upcoming Fall!

With the Fall season coming, I’m looking for a new color palette. Rich plums, deep blues, subtle grays, and even forest green. This apple-ish green shade is a real surprise, but somehow it works! The fabulous house of Prada never fails to come up with something a little bit different and interesting.

The Prada Vitello Shine Satchel follows the current trend of satchel styles with lots of “pop”. Smaller in size than the working satchel, it’s 10″ x 9″ x 7″ size is simply perfect for day to day useage. The square-ish shape is softened with rounded corners and is a great silhouette that mixes the styling of lady-like doctor’s bags with a bit of edge. Two outside pockets provide design interest and functionality. A long adjustable strap with 14″ to 18″ drop provides a comfortable hands-free option to the lustrous, rolled double-handles.
