And it’s happening right now over at Gilt Groupe! Gilt is an online sample sale destination that covers the hottest brands at the best deals (most of the time, on the web!). Walk Like A Lady – bags on the radar

In recent years, the handbag world has been loving fun, edgy bags covered in studs and fringe. Shapes have been varied from slouchy hobos, trapezoids, rounds and so much variety. And while Chanel and Brikin are still quintessential “IT” bags, there has been less focus on the lady bag. Structure, polish and top-handles are key components of a lady bag. We are familiar with Dior “Lady Dior” bags and Valentino floral bags that beg to be carried in lady-like style. With chic glamorous sheath dresses and uptown look being one of the major fashion trends, it’s no surprise that we are seeing more lady-like bags on the radar.

Reed Krakoff’s introduction last month gave us lady-like styling with masculine and more modern architectural elements. The 510 Tote in amazing rich teal is a satchel that has clean lines, smooth rich leathers and a modern proper-ness about it that inspires one to be sharply dress and head off to lunch with the most prominent of the “who’s who”. I adore this bag and for only $1150, it’s a find that’s incredibly well made and quite lovely.

Rebecca Minkoff Morning After

Who is that hiding behind the glimmery studs and enriched leather? It’s the iconic Morning After bag by no other than Rebecca Minkoff. This piece never fails to make a comeback each season, and every time it makes the spotlight, Madame MAM seems to be better than ever! Expect to find circular studs with bulls-eye engravement at the ends, a catchy feature on the Hypno Stud Morning After Mini.

Botkier Sophia Bag

Ever look up at the sky and make out a rabbit or a bear in the fluffy white clouds? Of course, we have all done that at some point in our lives. It was one of those things that you did to pass the time during those long car rides. Well, today the Botkier Sophia Large Satchel became my cloud. But, then again, I have always been a very imaginative person. So what do you think ladies? Is it an English saddle or a little boat? I’m not sure what it is, but the shape of this bag is just making me want to see things!

Coach Studded Kristin Bag

Coach has had a lot of new styles lately. I mean, A LOT! And it seems like a little bit of everything has sprouted up in these most recent additions. The good, the bad… and (yikes!) the ugly. But you know what? I still like Coach and I admire them for their bravery in exploring new things. So I’m not going to focus on the bad stuff, or the ugly stuff for that matter. Nope, I am only going to focus on the good. And that is exactly what I have here! Meet the Coach Kristin Studded Bag!

Lockheart Shelby Satchel

It seems to me that Lockheart has created a bit of a sore spot here at Bag Bliss. First, Deysa wrote about the over-the-top braiding on the Lockheart Cadence. And now, I am bringing everyone’s attention to the Lockheart Shelby Satchel.

Mulberry Leopard Alexa Bag

As you may have already heard, animal prints are in again for Fall 2010. I pointed out in an earlier post (Wild About Animal Prints) that the trend seemed to be leaning more toward gray tones, rather than brown tones. And you know what? I think things are still going in that direction! But with all of these animal prints floating around out there, you would think that I would be getting a little sick of looking (and writing) about them. Well, actually, no. At least not when it comes to an unbelievably gorgeous bag like the one you see pictured here! Yep, Mulberry has jumped on the animal print bandwagon with their Patent Leopard Alexa Bag!
