MATT & NAT x Apple Laptop Bags

Vegan handbag brand MATT & NAT has partnered up with Apple for a capsule collection of laptop bags!

MATT & NAT Founder and Creative Director Inder Bedi says, “From our point of view the APPLE culture is one that appealed to us in terms of their clean, simple and one may say humble aesthetic. We are minimalists at heart and were truly excited to work with a brand that embodies beauty in innovation! As we are still a small company, working with a company we admire that has such great recognition worldwide was very appealing for us to help get our message out.”

There are four bags in the collection, and each piece is made of the signature vegan leather and lined with faux suede material made from recycled plastic bottles.

Alexander Wang Tai Dopp Kit Bag

This one gives a whole new meaning to the ‘boxy’ bag, meet the Tai Dopp Kit Bag by Alexander Wang. It almost sounds industrial and it sure does have the looks to support that idea. If it weren’t for the word ‘bag’ at the end, I would have never referred to it as one. I see a closer resemblance to my Sephora makeup train case than I do to my favorite structured accessory, of course it’s like four times smaller as well.

If you’re looking for something vintage inspired, this definitely fits the theme, but I wouldn’t be quick to call this comfortable, as its interior room is limited as its top handle length is as well (that’s a 2” drop to be exact). With such boxy dimensions and structured leather you can easily replace your current evening clutch with this not-so-common looking piece.

Alexander McQueen Queen Skull Crown Clutch

I’ve always have had an obsession with Alexander McQueen. Even when news broke loose that he had past I wept like a baby and wore fashionable items that featured skulls on them in his honor.

Alexander McQueen has always been a fashion God in the weirdest way possible. His fashion was a unique combination of both art and architecture. Some people say his thinking was over the top, I’d like to call is captivating.

One of my all time favorite pieces by Alexander McQueen has always been the Skull Clutch. Yes, it appears to be a simple, way overpriced clutch but the different themes each one had was interesting to see. Everytime Mr. McQueen came out with a new collection, we knew we could always expect the skull clutch featured in a totally different way than the previous season.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Hillier

For multiple seasons and since I’ve discovered my fascination towards designer handbags, I have always admired the yellow bag. Regardless of brand or style, if it’s yellow… I like it! There’s something great about the overpowering hue of the color yellow… or is it just that the yellow handbag is rare to spot these days. I tend to see the cheery shade on inexpensive department store pieces, not so much at the high-end boutiques.

Then Mr. Marc adds the color to his casual cool Marc by Marc Jacobs collection, scoring even more points (at least with me) by adjoining it with the popular Classic Q Hillier Hobo. This is a Hobo that sells itself; carrying convertibility, an attractive frame, and just the right amount of hardware makes the Hillier Hobo a favorite among MbMJ fanatics. The various colors added to these pebbled leather bags each season keeps us checking back for more.

Navoh Chambers Clutch

I’ve always been into the whole rocker chick look and my style reflects it in the most chicest way possible. I love all the studs, black and white clothes, and edginess of the whole trend.

When I spotted the Navoh “Chambers” Studded Faux Leather Crossbody Clutch I was instantly intrigued, even though it was a brand I wasn’t familiar with. Pyramid studs always catch my attention especially lately since they seem to be on anything that’s featured as a member of the rocker chick family.

Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Morning After Mini

Fall is here and Winter will be here as soon as we know it, and it seems like”quilted” bags are on the seasons hot list once again. When I went shopping today, I noticed that the handbag department was full of quilted handbags. Coincidence? I think not. It’s definitely a hot trend for these frigid months.

Ever since I laid my eyes on the Marc Jacobs Quilted “Stam” bag, I became infatuated. Quilted handbags give off a sense of classic fashion mixed with sophistication. The Rebecca Minkoff “Quilted” Morning After Mini Bag is classic, gorgeous, and perfect for the upcoming season.
