One of my favorite songs to hear over the holidays is “Silver Bells”. It’s also one of my favorite colors with which to decorate. Sparkly silver with a little touch of gold really gets me in the mood for the season. Sparkles and glitter. Absolutely love it!

So I am really loving the new glitter bags by Balenciaga on MyTheresa! My Theresa is a German online site with service to the U.S. What this means is that you can find items not currently available in the states! Each Tuesday, they add 120 new items so there is a reason to come back week after week!

Beautiful leathers with glitter silver toned “optic” are featured in the Classic Papier Tote, Classic Money Wallet and Glitter Shoulder Bag. The designer color name is called Akyon. For those fans out there, and there are many, these should definitely be on your wish list.

Even though I don’t own many of them, I really love evening bags especially clutches. To me, they can really add sparkle to any evening outfit. I mean face it, there are some spectacular evening clutches out their by Judith Leiber and Swarovski. There are also beautiful evening bags that are priced more reasonably, like the Whiting & Davis “Liquid” Chain Fringe Clutch.

Obviously, it’s very hard to beat any clutch from Swarovski and Judith Leiber but Whiting & Davis did an amazing job creating a gorgeous clutch for an affordable price. First, anything fringe always has a sense of 20′s fashion to it, and mixed with the metal-mesh gives it a more modern look.

I think it was Alexander McQueen that got me hooked on skulls. There is just something about them that calls to me in a way that has nothing to do with being morbid, but I’m not sure what it is exactly. But I suppose I will admit they do look pretty cool when perched atop a McQ clutch! Skulls have, however, made their way into many different accessories from a variety of designers. I’ve always been a fan of the Foley + Corinna City tote. Even though each bag looks relatively the same, just made in different sizes, it’s still a fabulous bag. The versatility of the bag is probably the best part about it. Being able to carry a bag two different ways is always a plus in my book and makes it worth the money a little more.

The “Stripley” Mid City Tote caught my eye strictly because of the banding featured all over it. It gave the tote more of a “rocker” look, which I’m obsessed with. Not only does the banding give it that edgy look, but it can also pass as being asymmetrical, which we all know has been a huge trend this year.

The minute I saw these bags, I knew I would have to write about them before I did anything else! During an otherwise mundane shopping trip with my daughter and finding only a few standout items, I ran across this brilliantly colored display of bags by Ted Baker! We all know Ted Baker for his beautifully tailored men’s and women’s clothing. His foray into accessories has been limited. But, I am so glad he is venturing into the category.

Pretty pink, purple, green, beige, and red greeted me as I walked down the aisle. The stunningly brilliant colors are enhanced by the PVC “patent leather” of these bags. A structured shape give the candy colored bags a more sophisticated style. Simple block lettering logo on the front in gold is just the right touch over the exterior zippered compartment. Large double handled style also works on the shoulder with a 6″ – 9″ drop.

There is a tremendous amount of storage in this bag as well with its 13″ x 9″ x 6″ size. Both sides of the bag have zippered compartments allowing them to completely open up. The large interior compartment is lined in a pretty floral. Hardware on the bag is a pretty silve-rtone for just the right accents.

Take one look at the Leah & Bliss Mini “Uptown” Pearl Bag and what other designer brand comes to your mind? If you’re thinking what I’m thinking of, it’s definitely the Hermes “Birkin”.

I’m sure if someone were to interview the designers at Leah & Bliss they would say they were inspired by Hermes but added their own little twist to the over popular bag. After I got over the Hermes comparison, I instantly thought of Lady Gaga. I’m pretty sure one of Lady Gaga’s most famous outfits was an outfit full of bubbles. Even though this handbag doesn’t have bubbles all over it, the pearls do kind of give off that effect.
