Kooba Holiday 2010 Collection

It’s not the handbag, but the woman who carries it… that is Kooba’s philosophy! Since 1998, Kooba has been helping women of all ages and walks of life express their own individual styles. The brand is known for its original styles, distinctive textures, and attention to detail. And as a handbag lover, I can tell you those are all very good things! I guess it’s no wonder then that I am finding myself quite excited for Kooba’s Holiday 2010 Collection!

The holiday season is definitely a time to feel glamorous and sexy! Why not let Kooba add some festivity to your look? The Holiday 2010 Collection has a little something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for some sequins or you’re looking for a yummy leather with a subtle sheen, Kooba has a style that will let you shine! My personal favorite so far? The Brielle Clutch! I love the fun sequins and, of course, the detachable shoulder strap! It is one of several lovely pieces from this collection that are now available on Kooba’s Official Website, with more styles to be released later this month (November 15th)! I am especially excited for the arrival of the Malia Tote in a color called Prism! So pretty!

Juicy Couture Duchess

It’s very rare for me to be in love with a Juicy Couture handbag. Usually, I don’t like the style, colors or the purse is just simply adorned in too much for my liking. I’m officially eating my words though because I am obsessed with the Juicy Couture Quilted Leather “Duchess” satchel.

I always praise any handbag that is black and has gold hardware. In my opinion, the colors go so amazing together and gives the handbag that classy/sophisticated fashion look. The “Duchess” is no exception. It’s gorgeous, black, and it kind of reminded me of a handbag that would be featured in a “sailor” style collection.

Rebecca Minkoff Enamored Drawstring

Aside from being obsessed with boots, boots, boots right now, it’s only a minor distraction from my ongoing, lifetime obsession with handbags. I am constantly looking for something new and interesting and perhaps life-altering. I see so many bags that sometimes they blend together. That’s why when something grabs my attention, it’s gotta be unique, classic and / or beautiful. It is something I want to reach out and put on immediately.

So, the Rebecca Minkoff Enamored Drawstring Bag drew me in. There is something intriguing about this bag that really attracted me. I have never been a huge fan of drawstring bags, but when I am drawn in by it, I think there is a trend about to emerge. We’ve also been exposed to studs, studs and more studs, the lacing on this bag is something new.

Katherine Kwei Kate Carry All

I am in love with Katherine Kwei handbags (and no, this isn’t my first time saying it)! Over the years, I have drooled over quite a few styles from this designer and I just cannot get over how beautiful they all are! The signature Chinese eternity knots are exquisite, while the mounds of fringe are full and fun. What’s not to like? But it looks like Katherine Kwei has been exploring other avenues. Check out this Katherine Kwei Kate Carry All! That’s right, no fringe here!

Mulberry Bio

Widely recognized as the first British “lifestyle” brand and now the last British luxury brand retaining its UK factory, Mulberry was established in 1971 in Somerset, England. With a modest beginning on the shelves of a London fashion emporium called Bida, Mulberry was known for its functional leather goods. In those days, their most popular pieces were the leather agenda and the poacher bag. Mulberry’s true claim to fame, however, came later in the form of two iconic handbags -the Bayswater and the Roxanne seemed to take the country (and the world) by storm. Today, the Bayswater and the Alexa are the company’s most popular sellers.

Bag Ideas for the Stay At Home Mom

The term “Stay At Home Mom” is such a misnomer. No matter what age my children are, I am never home for too long. Whether it’s school, appointments, grocery shopping, kids activities or just trying to squeeze in a little me time, a mom is always on the go. She always has to be prepared for what’s needed too. When my children were little, it was spare diapers & wipes and a change of clothing. Now that they are older, I don’t need as many extras, but a big bag always comes in handy.

Personally, I think the perfect bag for a Stay At Home Mome has to be large, versatile and well-made. She’s busy and doesn’t have alot of time to change out bags, so they must go with everything. It needs to be large so that she can hold the necessities and then some. And it should be well-made so that it resists spills, dirty hands and anything else live throws at it! So, I spent some time over at Shopbop and came up with some fabulous items!

The quilted nylon Tory Burch Jaden Tote is sophisticated, roomy and sturdy. With rolled, double-handles for comfort, they are long enough for shoulder wear. A very roomy interior with side pockets will hold tons of stuff. It’s available in black and dry orange for $350. Although, items tend to get a little lost sometimes, that problem can be resolved by zip pouched accessories like the darling striped Rebecca Minkoff pouch set for $95.
