No matter how much I want to deny it, fur seems to be holding as a trend for this coming Fall. Whether it’s real or faux, fur is literally everywhere. I can’t say I am a huge fan though. There’s just something about fur on handbags that doesn’t look right to me. But I did manage to stumble across one that isn’t too bad. Meet the Marc by Marc Jacobs Party Rat Regine Bag!
Alexander McQueen is in my top 3 favorite designers of all time. Sadly, I do not own any of his pieces but I know in do time I will. Ever since I saw the Skull Clutches and the Faithful Glove Clutch, I became an instant obsessed fan. McQueen was one of these designers that was eccentric /unique and that always showed in his fashion shows and pieces. Thankfully, the brand has decided to continue designing the way Alexander McQueen had always dreamed of.
Fall is vastly approaching us, and there is no other way to bring in the new season than with a brand new handbag! I hate trends, but I’m sure you know Fall is a time of dark colors. I like to wear dark colors all year long so when Fall comes around I’m able to stock up since every store says everything and anything dark!
When it comes to anything fashion related, I like pretty much everything in black. I occasionally do like some things in brown, but not too much. However, when my eyes saw the House of Marc Satchel it was like love at first sight. It kind of reminded me of a Louis Vuitton Speedy 25, only it was all brown and had side pockets.
A simple bucket style handbag from Alexander McQueen? Sounds a little weird, doesn’t it? It certainly isn’t something that you see everyday. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing! I love watching the designs evolve and change, now that Sarah Burton has taken the reins. She has been experimenting and this design is a product of that. There are all kinds of Yoga class one can attend. One that sticks out in my mind is the latest craze, Hot Yoga. One thing is for sure, people that are into yoga are into hard core. I like yoga, wish I did it more often to keep up with my flexibility though. However, whenever I do yoga in my home I have to have a yoga mat. My house is full of tile and without a mat I’ll have bruises all over my body.
Studio 54, The Bee Gees, disco balls, big hair, and slinky dresses. This bag has me thinking about disco in all it’s glory! Marc Jacobs aptly named this new bag for the Marc line the D4 Disco Jane. I don’t know what the D4 references, but I totally get the Disco!
As the Fall season draws nearer, I’m finding myself becoming more and more depressed. I can’t help it, I’m just not a Fall/Winter girl. What I need is a little pick-me-up. And I know exactly what will do the trick! Rather than switching to an all Fall color palette, I propose adding a pop of the unexpected. My eye is on hot pink at the moment.
