Lodis Astor Cory Satchel

As I mention over and over again, I’m absolutely obsessed with black leather handbags at the moment. I love pretty much all black handbags but when they feature gold hardware my heart skips a beat. I’m also obsessed with patent leather! Some people love patent leather, some people hate it there really is no in between with it.

When I saw the Lodis Accessories Astor “Cory” Satchel I gasped. A patent leather handbag with gold hardware? Could it be true? To my eyes, thank goodness it was! I don’t think I’ve ever seen an affordable black patent leather bag with gold hardware so I’m in love and drooling at the moment.

Halloween Handbags

Halloween is just around the corner! It is such a fun holiday, especially the dressing up part! But you don’t have to dress up to get into the spirit of this holiday. It is actually a great time to experiment. My suggestion? Give a Halloween-ish style handbag a try! What’s so fun about this idea is that you can carry something somewhat outside of your comfort zone without feeling silly. It is Halloween, after all! Need help finding something to fit the bill? Simply check out my list of suggestions below. There are four categories and an example for each one. Enjoy!

Halloween-ish Category #1 – Gothic-inspired

House of Harlow 1960 Rey Bag
What is more gorgeous than a bordeaux velvet pouch? I love the Victorian-esque flower pattern on the antiqued frame closure. Plus the extra-long chain strap is perfect for cross-body wear. Definitely gothic-inspired! But don’t worry, this piece is tame enough so that people won’t think you’ve been shopping at Hot Topic.

Halloween-ish Category #2 – Furry

Michael Kors Hutton Box Frame Bag
Still not feeling the fur trend that has invaded practically every nook and cranny this season? This cute little box frame bag is a great candidate for testing the waters! It sort of reminds me of a furry little monster on a chain, perfect for Halloween! I absolutely adore the box chain strap, it’s so unique!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Francesca

I’ve been looking to purchase a new handbag. As usual, I’m looking for a black leather handbag with gold hardware. This has been my go to style for handbags in the past 2 years or so, which is not refreshing feeling. In the past 4 years, I have seriously splurged on Louis Vuitton handbags and now I don’t use them at all. What a waste of money!

Whiting & Davis Mesh Pouch

As I always mention, I’m absolutely obsessed with evening bags. I kid you not, they make my heart smile. I love dressing up and looking glam, and there is no better way to top off a gorgeous outfit than with a stunning evening bag. I’m a firm believer that your accessories can make or break an outfit. To me, the shoes and handbag a woman carries complete an outfit. I always look for stylish and unique accessories that stick out in the crowd.

Bag Snob x DKNY: Out Now + My Very Own Treasure!

You have got to love the power of the social networking! It seemed like just yesterday, I was typing up one of the juiciest accounts to hit both fashion world and handbag editorials. Today, the collection has arrived! Let’s recap the dealings from last season:

Bag Snob Blogger Tina Craig tweets an offense that was heard around DKNY headquarters. She was simply doing her job of critiquing the smooshy and extra-pleated designs of the Eldridge bag by Donna Karan. Craig’s tweet, which stated that the bag resembled a sea creature, caught the attention of DKNY PR. On the defensive line, DKNY personnel tweeted back “Haven’t you ever taken a picture of yourself that just doesn’t do you justice?” Through the keyboard jabs emerged a discussion which lead to the proud collaboration between Bag Snob x DKNY. Can you say winners on both sides? It was the DKNY firm that provided the production but the Bag Snob women who composed the designs, incorporated by their love of handbags and with real-deal bagista fundamentals in mind.

LeSportsac Sunglass Wristlet

Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories. I literally buy a new pair whenever I can. To me, a woman can never have enough high heels and sunglasses. Both are fabulous accessories that can make any out a little more glam. Plus, both high heels and sunglasses come in so many different colors and styles it’s hard not to keep buying them! Granted I don’t have nearly as many sunglasses as I do high heels but I sure do love them!
