It seems like every week I’m bringing you another fabulous creation by Rebecca Minkoff. No matter what she designs, it always comes out fabulous. I’ve been a fan of Mrs. Minkoff’s since the very beginning of the “Morning After” Bag and I seem to become more obsessed as more designs are being created.
Feathers or Flowers? Regardless of which lively textile makes your favorite pick on an evening bag, Coach has you covered this season with two intense choices for the Holidays. This month sure went by fast and for the next couple of weeks the celebrations continue with family get-togethers, employer parties, Christmas gatherings, and New Years Eve.
Have you ever bought something at a random store and looked at the plastic bag they put your purchase in? It’s usually blank, has a smiley face on it or just simply says, “Thank You”. I see them often when I go to a family owned business or the market. They’re the kind of bags no one pays attention to I guess. I never did until I saw what Cast of Vices designed for us.
I use to be a fan of handbags full of a lot of color. The Coach “Watercolor” and Louis Vuitton “Multicolore” collections were my favorite. I have multiple pieces from both collections and every year my love for them are fading away. They are very beautiful but simply don’t fit my sense of style at all. As I grow older, my taste in fashion is becoming more timeless, old school and just overall classy. I love darker colors, whether is be with wardrobe or accessories, and anything that just screams sophisticated when it comes to fashion.
The House of Marc by Marc Jacobs “Snappy” satchel is definitely a handbag I could see myself carrying around. I would personally love it in black, as I do with all handbags, but the “ocean” color is pretty marvelous too. The good thing about having a handbag in this type of color is that it’s dark enough for Fall and Winter but it’s also colorful for Spring and Summer. I think when any handbag has the capability to be carried all year long that just makes it more desirable and worth the amount it costs.
In the couple of years that I’ve kept an eye on American brand Foley + Corinna, it is evident that the house has transformed their leather goods and accessories from rebel chic to what we see here, clean and simple. Coming across the Small Letter Bag, it surprised me how this piece lacked the dangling tassels, bulky silhouette and the casual distressed leather that most Foley + Corinna accessories possess.
