Christian Louboutin 20th Anniversary Artemis Paris

20 years ago legendary designer Christian Louboutin opened his first boutique on 19 Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Paris.

In celebration of the designer’s 20th anniversary, he has created a special Capsule Collection. One of the pieces dressed up for the celebratory collection is the Artemis.

The Limited Edition ‘Artemis Paris’ features a ruffled satin appliqué and handcrafted multicolored crystal-covered sculptural model of Paris, City of Lights. The Artemis collection is well-known for it’s head-turning spectacular decorative shoulder pad, but this one tops them all. I love the detailing!

Tory Burch Bunny Cosmetic Case

Cosmetic cases are a great accessory to have on hand. They are perfect for when you are traveling so your makeup doesn’t get lost in your suitcase. They are also great for everyday, just pop it inside your handbag and you don’t need to worry about accidentally staining the lining. But do you know what I like to do? I like to keep a cosmetic bag on the vanity in the bathroom. The stuff I use everyday is right there and I don’t need to dig through the drawer in there (which is a mess by the way).

Ember Skye Kate Bag

Ember Skye was popular with the celebrities for a little while last year. The brand was especially known for adorning the arms of Ashley Greene and Hayden Panettiere. Surprisingly though, I have only written about an Ember Skye handbag once. That was last June. So what has this designer been up to? I can safely say that Ember Skye still has a blatant love for fringe, as evidenced by the latest collection. What’s new, however, is the addition of some unusual adornments. Just take a look at the Ember Skye Kate Bag with Mixed Agate Accents!

McQ by Alexander McQueen Amwell Bag

Alexander McQueen’s diffusion line, McQ, has been floating around for a little while now. I will admit that when it was first relaunched, I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention. I love Alexander McQueen, but the bags that were popping up here and there just weren’t doing it for me. I have been slowly coming around though. One piece that sort of caught my eye is the one you see here. Meet the McQ by Alexander McQueen Amwell!

Pretty in Pink Handbags

Hearts, grapefruits, cotton candy, Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), and cute little bunny noses. These are the things that come to mind when I think of the color pink. It is probably one of the cheeriest colors I can think of. Right now, it would seem that a lot of handbag designers agree with this sentiment. Wait, I thought the hot color for Spring 2012 was yellow? Don’t worry, it still is! But pink is going to be a hot color this season too! Pink is already popping up everywhere. Sure, pink isn’t a novelty when it comes to handbags like yellow is. The color is still pretty though. I, for one, am happy to see its return as a color trend. You really can’t go wrong with this color. Give it a try, you’ll find carrying around a pop of pink has a strange way of lifting your spirit even on the gloomiest of days. Here are a few suggestions to get you to think pink!

Rebecca Minkoff School Boy Satchel

Black and white has really been creeping into the world of handbags lately. I will see one here and there, but they have definitely become more frequent these last few months. It should come as no surprise then that Rebecca Minkoff has decided to get in on some of the action. After all, she has always been pretty good at keeping up with what is hot (and what is not). Which styles did she choose to have a black and white rendition in? One of them is the Rebecca Minkoff School Boy Satchel! What an excellent choice!

Antik Batik Besace Hida Fushia Bag

Antik Batik is one of my favorite designers for boho-chic handbags. The brains behind the brand, Gabriella Cortese, was born in Italy and studied art in Paris. Her designs are reflection of her travels. She learned the art of Batik while in Bali and she was exposed to hand-dying/embroidery techniques while in India. The result is some exotic designs that still have some function. I’m always excited to see what’s new from this designer. So when I spotted the Antik Batik Hida Besace Bag, I had to swoop in for a closer look!

Foley + Corinna Mini Jet Set

To this day, Foley + Corinna is still a favorite designer of mine. I love the uniqueness of the designs. There is never a dull moment when Foley + Corinna is involved. Even their most classic style, the Jet Set, has an outside-the-box element to it. Wow, did I just say the words “classic” and “Foley + Corinna” in the same sentence? Indeed! Weird, isn’t it? Yet it is so very true! I believe the Jet Set became an icon the second it appeared on Lydia Hearst’s arm when she played Amelia (the interior decorator) in Gossip Girl’s season one finale episode. It definitely caught my attention! Now here we are ~4 years later and this piece is just as captivating as ever! My only regret with this bag is that it isn’t very practical for use as a shoulder bag. Foley + Corinna has made a habit of making their bags big. If you’re like me, then you’ll be pleased to see the Foley + Corinna Jet Set Mini!

Vintage Chanel Bag

Vintage Chanel! Now there’s a statement that intrigues any bagista. Lately I’ve been very attracted to the spring shades of vibrant violets that many designers have been stirring up recently. One of our own tBFer’s recently landed a 2012 Dark Violet Town (Balenciaga Dark Violet Purple) and it brought back verification of how lovely and versatile a purple-hued handbag truly is to any wardrobe.

What Goes Around Comes Around Vintage present unique finds that in order to obtain, you must give into a hefty price tag first. But a price tag on an exclusive Chanel may be overseen if it’s truly limited, so just how much would you pay for this pretty? Attractive purple suede makes up this quilted Classic edition that reveals a sophisticated and chic style. The touch of gold toned hardware found on the traditional Chanel chains adds more vintage emphasis to this authentic lambskin piece. Discreet double-C’s are embroidered at the center of the flap and serves as a Chanel stamp of approval.
