When I think of over sized bows, I think of Valentino… particularly, Red Valentino. Bows, bows, and more bows! While it is true the bag you see here is from a diffusion line, it is not from Red Valentino. It is actually from Zac Posen’s diffusion line, Z Spoke, which debuted just two short years ago (Spring 2010). What I like about this line is the clean lines and simple shapes. Would you wear a designer backpack? My personal input towards back wear is neutral, reasons being that I have yet to spot something worthy of adding to my ever-changing wish list. Whoever initiated the backpack into a fashion accessory had a great concept, but fell short in making it practical. Most of the luxury designer selections out there arrive in petite form, incapable of holding much, and with excessive exterior pockets that appoint more of a décor role. Perhaps you won’t be able to fit most of your daily essentials in it, but at least you can carry certain items with this unique form of a fashion statement.

Every year around this time of the season I always look forward to the drawstring bucket bag trend. It’s insane how much I love this style. Living in Seattle it’s not really one that you can get away with wearing year-round, especially with all the rainfall we get. Open top drawstring bags + rain are not a good combination. You don’t want your stuff inside wet. You know though, I’m really obsessing over this Rachel Zoe Joni Bucket Bag, and even though we’re still in the rainy season I would love to carry this bag around – that’s what umbrellas are for!

Evening bags are a weakness of mine. I love them and if I had a choice my closet would be full of them. I prefer them over regular handbags! To me, evening bags are stunning and scream elegance. I own the Swarovski “Kiosque” and I’m still in love with it. It’s gorgeous, catches people’s eyes and is very unique looking. It’s not everyday you walk down the street and see a bag adorned in crystals.

Let’s be honest though, Swarovski evening bags aren’t as expensive as Judith Leiber bags but they are still a pretty penny. I won my here at Bag Bliss and I haven’t been able to buy another one since! However, I’m always looking for evening bags that are reasonably priced and right now I’m in love with the Whiting & Davis Metal Mesh “Minaudiere”.

Now Rebecca Minkoff needs one that says “My Detox Starts Tomorrow” – that would be too awesome! I’m kinda of a self-proclaimed health nut and I love detoxes and cleanses. Right now I’m currently going through the most crazy detox cleanse of my life. I’m on day 17! The first 14 days was filled with raw foods and juices which I totally loved. But now I’m on day 3 of the Raw by Aster 5-day Catwalk Cleanse (reviewing day by day on TheFashionRow) and I don’t know how I feel about it yet…kinda feeling starved to be honest. I do love the raw diet though – snack anytime I want throughout the day. The raw is something that I could probably continue doing all summer, but I miss dinner parties, going out to dinner and my Italian food. My boyfriend and I are such foodies, after long day at work, making a gourmet dinner is our relaxing together time.

I feel like a lot of fashion is safari and wildlife inspired right now. There seems to be a lot of browns, tans and animals prints around at the moment. I’m not one to usually wear animals prints but I do love anything that looks like a zebra for obvious reasons. My favorite colors are black and white and there is no better animal than a zebra to sport these colors. Even when I stayed at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando, I screamed every time I saw a zebra. They truly are beautiful animals and their stripes make them quite fashionable if I do say so myself!
