Olympia Le-Tan is kind of a big deal over here at BB. We’re huge fans of her literary novelty clutches, replicating actual classic vintage book covers such as ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ and ‘The Great Gatsby’ in hand embroidered detailing.

This latest season Olympia Le-Tan is trying something new by diving into the world of Italian filmography for her new collection, designing covetable creations like this ‘La Dolce Vita’ clutch. Awesome right? I’ve never seen the flick but IMBD describes the movie as a series of stories following a week in the life of a philandering paparazzo journalist living in Rome.

I will admit, I don’t know a whole lot when it comes to Marni handbags. The styles are normally very plain and simple, but there will also be some weird pieces thrown into the mix without any sort of rhyme or reason. That is just speaking from my own personal experience, of course. So that is why I was surprised, but not REALLY surprised (if you know what I mean) when I saw the clutch you see pictured here. I’m single so I always read blogs or tweets about love. There are so many twitter accounts that are dedicated to love and quotes. One of the most common topics that people post about is “Love or Lust”. I think that’s a common question that everyone has asked themselves at least one time in their life. Sometimes people tend to think lust is true love when usually it isn’t. Then after a breakup it’s vice versa. They think it was true love but it ended up just being a few months of Lust. “Love or Lust” common words that come out of people’s mouths on a daily basis.

As I state almost every week, I have an obsession with clutches. If I wasn’t saving to move to California my closet would be full shoes, clothes and most importantly clutches. I like the simplicity and ease of a clutch. You just have to remember you have been carrying one around so that you don’t forget it anywhere.

The coolest clutch I’ve seen in a while is the 3.1. Phillip Lim Oversized “Portfolio” Clutch. It’s a simple looking clutch but I absolutely love the artsy look to it. It kind of looks like a piece of architecture and I love the buckle accent. It sort of looks like it would be an iPad case but I’m sure glad it’s not!

It may still be scorching hot in your neck of the woods, but it’s evident in the world of Fashion that Fall is right around the corner. Soon it’ll be boots and sweater season, and arriving along the cool climate apparel are the dark and luxurious accessories.

Personally, I can’t wait to see the lace and the mauves, and of course the various versions of black accessories. A little darkness on the arm doesn’t have to be somber, instead, consider it a safe bet. For that reason, most of us gals have multiple black handbags in our closet and adding one more this season for that moments sake might not be such a bad idea.

Michael Kors is one of my favorite handbag designers. He is literally the king of designing black leather handbags that feature gold hardware, which happens to be one of my favorite combinations when it comes to handbags. I remember when I was at a Michael Kors store earlier this year, I told the sales associate how much I loved black and gold style. He had told me that’s one of Michael Kors favorite color combinations too because of his love of the 60′s! Who would have ever guessed that? I just always thought it looked stylish!

I love Botkier handbags, but it seems Monica has been going in a different direction lately. The new styles that she has been turning out are so different from anything I have seen from her before. Now don’t get me wrong, I am certainly not saying I haven’t been liking what I am seeing. In fact, I happen to think Botkier’s new look is pretty darn spiffy (yes, I did just say spiffy).
