I recently ran into the Allison Cosmetic Case by Rebecca Minkoff, an attractive collaboration of a makeup bag and a travel piece. I never understood the concept of these type of accessories as they seemed fairly limited in space and oddly shaped versus your standard makeup pouch.

During a short road trip to a larger city in my state, my handy makeup bag failed to provide spare protection from heavier duffle bags thrown on top of mine; that’s when I lost two semi-new eye shadows to breakage and gained appreciation for these structured mini luggage pieces. Casual stripes line the canvas exterior of this round case while camel brown leather bands the edging, logo, and the single top flat handle. A matching pouch arrives as a removable extra, practically sized for short brushes or for that collection of multiple lip products us gals like to haul around. The blue stripes bring summer eagerness while the red version conveys vintage flair. Both are adorable and reasonably priced at only $95.
