Favorite Designer Alexander McQueen
On February 11, 2010 tragedy struck the fashion world. Paramedics were rushed to McQueen’s home, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. If you have a true love and passion for fashion chances are you were saddened by the news. I personally do not own anything by Alexander McQueen but I found a shirt with a skull on it in my closet and you better believe I wore it. I was sure to wear the shirt on the day he was pronounced dead and the day of his funeral. Alexander McQueen was and still is one of my all time favorite fashion designers, it was the least I could do.
I’m a Leo and I’m a firm believer in the zodiac. Leo’s like to be different and that is pretty much me in a nutshell. If people go right, I go left. If people wear white, I’ll wear black. I just feel life is too short to be another person in the same crowd, so be unique. Alexander McQueen wasn’t a Leo but by were his designs different. His designs and fashion shows made your mouth drop but intrigued you at the same time. Some pieces were classy, some were beautiful, some were edgy and some were just plain weird. What always caught my eye about McQueen was his love for skulls. Skulls were like his trademark and my favorite accessory was the “Skull Box” Clutch.
The “Skull Box” Clutches were simple but every season they looked completely different than the last set. They are pricey but oh so beautiful. I don’t own one but boy I can’t wait for the day when I can have my very own. Being that I’m half English, it would be an honor to have one that features the Union Jack Flag or even one that has crystals all over it. Hey, a girl can dream.
Another Alexander McQueen favorite was the Faithful “Glove” Clutch. Another bag I was unable to buy but it made my heart melt. My style use to be very edgy and it would of matched pretty much everything I put on. Who would of ever have thought to put a detachable glove on a clutch. It was genius, if you ask me and Alexander McQueen thought of it.
Alexander McQueen was one of the most innovative, unique and eccentric fashion designers of all time. He will always be missed but thankfully we still have the brand to remember him forever.
You can purchase pieces from Alexander McQueen’s collections at Zappos.

I would love to just own one McQueen clutch, just one! lol
Is there a site that sells Alexander McQueen stuff on sale? I want a scarf but I couldn’t imagine spending that much.
Mine too! This was a great post to read.
I have a huge collection of McQueen scarves but looking to sell them. When I do, I’m going to get a box skull clutch. I think I’ll wear that more.
