Sarah Burton named Creative Director of Alexander McQueen
The House of Alexander McQueen has just named Sarah Burton as the new Creative Director of the Alexander McQueen brand.
Sarah Burton has been a longtime colleague of the late designer, Lee McQueen, since 1996 and was appointed head of design for the label’s women’s wear in 2000.

I can’t wait to see her stuff!
This is great news that the house has picked someone from within the walls, and has worked with McQueen for sometime before his death.
If anyone can continue his line without hitting any snags, it’s going to be Sarah Burton. I’m confident she will deliver.
Well I look forward to the change. Even know I know there’s alot of people out there who are not happy about it. It just has to be done.
Thanks for the news. I was starting to wonder when they were going to make the big announcement.
I’ve never heard of her before, but I’m not really that into the “who’s who” of everything. I do love McQ clothing though and I’m excited to see how the new collection will turn out.
Thanks for the news!
