Francesco Biasia Happy Daisy Clutch
When I first came across this one, the term “designer-inspired” popped into my mind. Maybe it’s just me, but do certain details on this clutch resemble a specific designer? Like maybe Chanel? The few traits on this clutch that I’m referring to are the quilted upper flap and the interwoven leather and chain wrist strap. These somewhat resemble Chanel’s Classic Flap bags, which have been known years and years for having these same features. Though it’s no shock that other brands inevitably get inspired by high-end, classic, and stylish designers like Chanel.

At least Biasia didn’t attempt to completely recreate a Chanel piece. The shape of the clutch, pleats in the front, and golden slip lock closure are definitely all contrasts to Chanel’s feminine and elegantly innovative designs. So I think I give a little credit to FB for not making a bag that was heavily inspired. But would I wear this clutch? Well, I don’t think I’ll be reaching for my wallet to place an order anytime soon. Though honestly, I do like the overall design, and I think the golen hardware accents the leather very well. So if you are a fan of this one, let me mention a few more details for you: it comes with a 48.5 in shoulder strap that’s detachable, has a brocade lining with a leather bound mirror, and measures 10¾” at widest x 4½” tall at center x 2” deep.

Fendi Fuschia Nappa Baguette Bag
Fendi Fuschia Nappa Baguette Bag
If you hurry on over to Bluefly, you can snag the Fendi Baguette in vibrant fuschia for only $796!!! Wow, that is definitely a steal. The Baguettes retail for $995 and up, which means that this little pink beauty is discounted at 20% off. I must say that I love the Baguette bags, especially in this feminine hue, which is also perfect for this summer.

This Baguette is made of high quality, supple Nappa leather, which features all-over embossed logos. Without the textured, but still subtle Fendi logos, I think this bag would be a little on the plain side. On the front flap there is a logo ornament with a snap closure, which is the perfect little hardware detail. And what’s wonderful about this purse is the fact that the shoulder strap can be easily adjusted with the adorable side buckles. The interior is made of printed satin lining and has a zip pocket for any small items.

The Fendi Baguette is such an awesome addition to a collection. So if you’ve got your eyes on this one, hurry on over to bluefly and get it on sale for $200 off the retail price!

Perforated Balenciaga Bags

Perforated Balenciaga Bags
Perforated Balenciaga Bags
The Balenciaga Motorcycle Bags are mainly known for their wonderfully distressed leather, the limited seasonal shades they come in, and hardware details. But this season, the design house of Balenciaga has added a few new twists to their handbags, with one being an outline of perforations. Pictured above are two perforated bags from the upcoming fall season. When I first saw these, they instantly appealed to me. I thought these little decorative perforations were a great pattern to accent the leather with. I think Bal made a good move by making these subtle and not over the top.

However, if I was going to finally get a Balenciaga City bag, would I buy a perforated piece? I thought about it and decided that even though I admire Bal’s creativity, I think I would still stick with the traditional bags. I have a feeling that these might be a little on the trendy side, and that is why I wouldn’t actually purchase one. And besides, you can’t go wrong with a classic Balenciaga! Anyways, as far as pricing goes, I’m not exactly sure what these are marked at. Though I’m sure they’re higher then the traditional Bal bags.

So, are the new perforated Balenciaga bags a hit or miss with you?

Dolce & Gabbana Miss Pocket Patchwork Bag

Dolce & Gabbana Runway Miss Pocket Patchwork Snakeskin Purse
Dolce & Gabbana Miss Pocket Patchwork Bag
When it comes to patchwork creations, the two same words always come to mind; trendy anc tacky. And the Miss Pocket Patchwork N/S bag in snakesin by Dolce & Gabbana, is no exception. Seriously, this patchwork design looks more like a mosaic-inspired mess. Everything from the multicolor clash to the snakeskin and suede combo does not mix well at all, in my opinion.

I suppose the only feature that isn’t disatrous is the convertibility of the bag. At least you’d be able to wear it a few different ways. The fold-over concept reminds me a little of F+C style. You can carry it by handles in your hands, or elongate the strap from 23″ to 26″ and wear it as a shoulder bag.

So, what exactly is the price tag on this one? It retails for $3,995 becase it’s constructed from genuine snakeskin. I can understand that genuine exotic skins are expensive, but I don’t see how this particular handbag could be valued so highly. There’s too much going on here, so this one is a definite nay for me.

What do you think about the Miss Pocket Patchwork bag by D&G?

Vivienne Westwood Red Label Gloucester Lapin Bowling Bag

Vivienne Westwood Red Label Gloucester Lapin Bowling Bag
Vivienne Westwood Red Label Gloucester Lapin Bowling Bag
Anything with fur on it, whether it be a coat, boots or a handbag, has really never appealed to me. I can somewhat see how people like fur coats, but not a purse. And the Gloucester Lapin Bowling bag by Vivienne Westwood Red Label is definitely one fugly furry bag, im my opinion. Seriously, I think this bag looks hideous. It looks like it was made in the wilderness or something. If they had to use fur, they could have made this bag much better looking than what it is.

This bag is made of taupe lapin, which is a french word for rabbit, has short handles, and buckles on the sides. It also has a large zip to fasten and a gray….yeah, yeah, yeah – whatever. I really don’t care too much about the details because I can’t get my mind off how wrong this bag is! I don’t even want to imagine what was done to make this bag. It almost looks like it’s alive with all that fur. And this is definitely just strictly a winter bag. I could never see myself wearing this, even if it was given to me for free. And as for the price, it was originally $2,085 and is now marked down to $1,459.50. So if you are a fan, you can head on over to Net-A-Porter to get it while it’s on sale.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Patent Continental Wallet

Yves Saint Laurent Black Patent Continental Wallet
Ever since I discoverd the Y-mail collection by YSL, I fell in love. The address and mail theme is so different and both stylish and classic at the same time. This collection presents a creative twist that I had never seen on any other designer bags, and I knew that I had to own a piece of Y-Mail! And recently, I was fortunate to come across exactly what I was looking for at a discounted price. I was able to score the Continental Zip Wallet in gorgeous black patent leather over at Bluefly.

I first came across the wallet in silver over at Bluefly, which happened to be gone the next day when I went to order it. Then it popped up on their site again, only this time it was in gold. But after chatting with a sales rep online, I was directed to the black one, which is what I initially wanted anyway. And I must say that I am totally happy with the black version! Black is classic, timeless, and also, a few of the girls over at tBF pointed out that the lettering details stand out so much more on the black, which is especially true in person. This wallet looks so much better than I expected and I was amazed as soon as I took it out of it’s dustbag.

The YSL Continental Wallet in black patent leather features glossy, soft, and slightly textured leather with a lovely address written on the front. The black patent leather and gold combo make this wallet very elegant, classy and even a little fancy! The greatest detail, of course, is the beautiful and vibrant gold lettering used for the address. It looks amazing in real life! Here is an up close picture:

The interior is very roomy with 12 credit card slots, two compartments, and a middle zippered section for change. My checkbook fits nicely in one of the slots. Also, the change pocket is big enough so there isn’t a bulge poking through the wallet. When I use this as a clutch, I could even fit my cell inside! And it’s not too heavy like some wallets can be, which is a plus. Here is a picture of the inside with all of my cards, cash, change, and checkbook:

Lastly, I purchased this for $340, and I believe it retails for about $100 more or so. I think I got a great deal on it and I’m very thrilled to be it’s new owner! I can’t wait to pull it out to pay for something because I know people will be wondering what the lettering is and who it’s by. It’s definitely a unique piece I’ll have forever!

Last time I checked, it was sold out at Bluefly, but keep checking back because it might pop back up.

Versace Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag

Versace Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag
Versace Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag
Lately I’ve been seraching for designer bags without the all-over logo. But, when I came across this simple hobo by Versace, I really admired the subtle signature logo seen throughout the bag, and in a smaller quantity. What’s great about the logos is the fact that they’re a face and not the common letter or initial that is seen among high end designers. This is the type of purse that would have people wondering who makes it, since the Versace logo isn’t as widespread. The new Jacquard Metallic Hobo Bag by Versace is a great neutral-toned and unique signature piece that doesn’t scream it’s designer’s name, and would make a great addition to any collection.

I love the golden Medusa logo charm that hangs from the top. I’m really liking every detail except for one, which is the size. It is big enough and masures 12″W X 9″H X 8½”D. But I’m not so sure on how I feel about a bag that is 8.5 inches wide. I’m wondering if it would bunch up or get squished underneath the arm or something. I would personally prefer a smaller width. This would be the only trait that would prevent me from actually getting the bag. Anyways, the price tag on this one is resonable at $730.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Mag Bag

Marc by Marc Jacobs Mag Bag
Marc by Marc Jacobs Mag Bag
One characteristic that I absolutely love about MbyMJ bags is the soft, squishy, buttery leather they’re constructed of. Also, the new colors that MJ presents are vibrant and delicious-looking, including the cranberry-field shade the new Mag Bag is seen in here. This bright-colored bag has summer fun, and sizzling hot accessory written all over it. And anyone is sure to make a hot statement this season with this newbie from MJ’s line, Marc.

The new Mag Bag features soft grained leather accented with polished silver hardware details, and a convenient flat front pocket with the adorably common closure seen on many MbyMJ bags, the turnlock. Another trait thats awesome about this piece is it’s convertibility. Simply wear it over your arm with the leather handles, or comfortably throw it over your shoulder with the detachable strap when you need your hands free. And if you need a little organization, there are three pockets on the interior, including a special one for your cell.

I’m loving everything about the Mag Bag including the color, multiple carrying options, and of course, the supple leather. I think this bag would be great for the spring or summer months, and I personally wouldn’t use it for the colder seasons. But I would certainly look forward to taking this beauty out of the closet and out for play during the warmer months. And I think a price tag of $398 is a reasonable price for this functional purse.

Louis Vuitton Damier Trevi PM Bag

Louis Vuitton Damier Trevi PM Bag
Louis Vuitton Damier Trevi PM Bag
Louis Vuitton is widely known for it’s monogram canvas pieces which are classic, elegant and above all, timeless. One can never go wrong with a handbag or accessory from the mono line. However, sometimes a breath of fresh air is needed after constantly sporting a purse with the common all-over logo or signature. And lately, I’ve had my mind and eyes on the gorgeous logo-free Damier line by LV, especially the Trevi PM.

Ever since the Trevi made it’s debut last year, I thought it was such an awesome versatile bag since you can wear it casually on the shouder or carry it elegantly over the arm. And as for the Damier print, I personally rate it as being right up there on the classic scale with the mono canvas line. The brown checker board print really macthes with anything and can be worn casually or dressed up.

I think the style of the Trevi goes beautifully with the Damier pattern. Everything about this bag is amazing from the adorable pleat in the front, brown leather trim, golden hardware including the protective feet on the bottom, and of course, it’s convertibility. Plus this bag would still look fresh years from now because there’s no vachatta to worry about and maintain. It comes in two sizes, the PM and GM, and I would personally opt for the PM size which measures 13.4″x 9.4″x 5.9″. I think the GM might look a bit too bulky and more casual. Anyways, the price tag on this one is $1,590.
