Chloe Bay Purple Patent Hobo Bag
What really caught my attention on the new Bay Hobo bag in patent leather was the gorgeous and shiny shade of violet. I’ve been wanting to own a purple handbag lately and this one definitely hit the spot. The color is perfect. And I especially love the purple and patent leather combo. Now only if I could quickly come up with $1,760…

I think this is one of those bags that could be worn year round, which is a plus if you’re spending that kind of money. But I do think this bag would be especially hot for the upcoming fall months that will arrive after summer. Not only is the color appealing but the hobo shape, double strap that can be thrown over the shoulder, and other details make this such a great bag. For example, I love the contrast of the gold harware to the purple because it adds a richness to the purse. Also, the giant leather zipper pulls on the front pocket are a fun detail. The magnetic closure is great because you can easily pop it open to grab what you need, and your belongings will still be secured. Overall, this is a beautiful bag that would be a great addition to any handbag collection.

Chloe Freja Clutch

When I came across the new Freja Clutch by designer Chloe, I was amazed at how different it was from most accessories of its kind. This clutch is definitely uniquely structured and not your average grab-and-go purse. And I will admit that even after closely scoping out the display pictures on Diabro.net, I’m still wondering exactly how this little handheld works. I’m actually pretty curious to try this newbie out. Though I don’t think I’d add this to my collection.

The Freja clutch is made from croc embossed calf leather and lambskin, and the one shown above is a lovely purple shade which is named Irena. It also comes in a very light blueish color called Glacial, which isn’t all that great in my opinion. I do love the exotic print and the color, but overall, I’m just not sure about this one, especially with a price tag of around $1400. I think it is way overpirced and also it doesn’t even seem that practical for the type of accessory it is. And this one isn’t appearing to be the most comfortable purse to carry around since it’s shape isn’t consistent. For me, I would rather buy a bag or two with that amount of money and pass on this little freak of couture!

Wallets are such an important accessory since they house all of your credit cards, money, reciepts, etc. For me, wallets are my second favorite accessory to shop for, after handbags of course. And lately, I’ve fallen for a new wallet trend that I’m sure many of you have seen floating around: the framed-wallet. Shown above is the new ‘Very Hot – Primadonna’ Frame Wallet by Lodis, in gorgeous shades of metallics. These little purses can be used to house your money essentials or they can be used as a clutch. The outside looks just like a clutch while the interior has compartments, credit card slots and even an ID window, which all provide organization just like the inside of a wallet. How great is that? And usually I’m not into bags that are too structured, but I must say that I adore the frame details on these durable little purses.

I could definitely see these sleek little beauties adding some color and fun to any handbag or being used as a mini-purse during an eveing out. They are made of genuine leather and available in pretty metallics such as Fuschia, Sky, Kelly (green), and Violet. And the one I would personally opt for is the Violet. For a reasonable price of $155, you can have a wallet AND a clutch in one.

The other day, I was at the mall shopping for a few new tops for my upcoming trip to Newport, RI. And as I was looking around, I saw a young girl with the Coach Heritage Stripe Tote in pink on her shoulder. I must say that I was totally amazed by how pretty this bag was in real life. It looked so much more vibrant in person, than on the website. When this bag first came out, I wasn’t so sure about their new signature coated canvas material. But after seeing this bag, all of my thoughts on the Coach Heritage line completely changed for the better.

The small Heritage Stripe Tote, which is shown above, comes with a price tag of $258. And do I think it’s worth the price? Well, there are other purses on my wishlist that I’d rather put that $258 bucks towards. With that said, I won’t be ordering this one anytime soon. But for all of you Coach lovers out there that have been contemplating making this particular bag your next purchase, I say go for it! It comes in vibrant colors great for summer such as green, geranium, white, and pink and also comes in classic brown trim. No matter which tote you’d opt for, the Coach Heritage Stripe tote is an awesome choice.

Coach Ostrich Accordion Zip Around Wallet

Coach Ostrich Accordion Zip Around Wallet
As mentioned previously, Coach has been increasing their prices to compete with higher end designers like Louis vuitton, for example. And it seems like they are trying to make their accessories more exclusive. I mean, there are plenty of Coach goods that appeal to me and I own a few bags by them. But honestly, $1,500 for an Ostrich Wallet with the Coach label on it is a joke, in my opinion. And aren’t their products made over in China?

The new Ostrich Accordion Zip Around Wallet by Coach comes in light blue and tan, and I would pick the blue or “pool” if I were to purchase one (which would be never). The wallet is very functional, allowing one to carry many credit cards, money, papers, change, ect. But so what? To me, and besides the exotic skin, this Coach wallet is nothing spectacular and is just like any other wallet of theirs. Why would I spend $1500 on a wallet when I could buy a bag or two? I think Coach is taking their pricing a little too far. But hey, if you’re a fan of the wallet, there is also a matching handbag that retails for $4,800!

YSL Y-Mail Black Patent Coin Purse

YSL Y-Mail Black Patent Coin Purse
The Y-Mail Collection by Yves Saint Laurent presents a creative way to put a signature on a bag. I think this collection is adorable and fun yet still classy like most of their bags. Here we have the Y-Mail Patent Coin Purse in black, which looks just like a little piece of mail ready to be sent out. It is even has the traditional envelope closure on the back. I wonder if this one exists in white?! Though I will say that I love the black with gold writing combo since those two colors compliment each other so well. The address even looks authentic and not computerized. I’m really liking the details on this black cutie.

The Y-Mail Coin Purse comes with a price tag of $175, which I don’t think is too bad from something by YSL. So, considering its label and the fact that it’s not your average coin purse, I think it’s worth the price. I’d personally love to pull this one out each time I had to pay for something! I could see how some might think its a bit too much, but I just really love the Mail theme going on. Overall, I think this coin purse would make an awesome addition to an accessory collection.

Coach Ergo Leather Convertible Tote

Coach Ergo Leather Convertible Tote
So recently, Coach has not only come out with a bunch of new handbags and accessories, but they have also decided to copy a design apparently. Is it just me or does their new Ergo Leather Convertible Tote resemble another designer bag? Perhaps the City Tote by F+C? That was my first thought. Here is the F+C City tote below for a comparison guideline:

Foley and Corinna Purse So the City tote by F+C is totally innovative in the accessory world of handbags – it’s three bags in one. And inevitably, designers were going to snag this sturcture up and apply their label to it. The Ergo Tote by Coach is made of all leather, and can be worn three different ways, just like the one by F+C: on the shoulder, in the hand or as a clutch. And speaking of leather, the F+C bags’ leather seems more crinkly and soft, which is what I like. But anyways, this one is retailing for $478, while the original F+C tote is about $30 or less, and can even be less expensive if you find a deal. Coach did add a coin purse in the front of their version, which is something I’m not particularly a fan of. Also, the handles on the Ergo Convertible tote don’t look as appealing as the rounded and more comfy Foley ones. Overall, for the price and the originality factor of course, I’d opt for the Foley + Corinna City tote without hesitation.

So, which version would you pick?

YSL Large Muse Two Purse in Blue

YSL Large Muse Two Purse in Blue
When I recently visited the official Yves Saint Laurent website, I was presented with an ad of a model wearing the new Large Muse Two bag in blue. And I will say that I am totally in love with this piece by YSL. I was amazed at how gorgeous the bag looked on the model in the picture shown above. This bag is very elegant and sophisticated yet stylish from the hot exotic croc-embossed leather it is made from. Also, the shade of blue is a wonderful year-round hue to wear with anything.

The size of this bag is perfect for everyday wear. It measures 15″x7″x11″, which means there is plenty of room for carrying whatever you need. Also, another huge plus is the fact that the handle looks long enough to fit comfortably over the shoulder without a problem. The cetered golden hadrware piece located on the flap adds just enough detail to this bag. The only downfall is the price, of course. This one comes with a price tag of $1,895. But I don’t think that this would ever go out of style. Overall, I think this would be a great addition to any handbag collection.

Wilsons Leather & Suede Protector

Wilsons Leather & Suede Protector
Along with the excitement after purchasing a brand spankin’ new designer bag comes worry and the fear of getting it dirty, especially when you’ve spent a bundle. And although we should just use our bags and enjoy them without carrying those anxieties on dirtying them, many of us just can’t. So our beautiful bags end up staying in their boxes and dustbags unable to come out and play.

Well, recently I purchased the Louis Vuitton Lockit Horizontal. As soon as I got it, I was so worried about all of that white vachetta because there is a lot of it! And what especially stressed me out was the leather bottom. My first thought was “how in the world am I going to keep all of that leather clean???” I mean, after spending all of that money there was no way I was going to let dirt, stains, and water get on the surface of the delicate vachetta scattered all over my new baby.’

So, I finally decided to try Wilsons Leather and Suede Protector, after hearing about it from tBFer and blogger, Deysa. Anyways, I bought the biggest can they had for 10 bucks at my local Wilsons store. The employee at the store told me to spray it twice with 20 minutes in between each spray. And he said that would be good for about 6 months. So I followed through with exactly what he said. The end result left me amazed. I sprayed my bag a lot and the vachetta turned dark for about 5 seconds and it dried so quickly back to its original white-looking state. And the other night, I brought my Lockit out for the first time and I accidentally got a few drops of water on the handles. But there were no water marks to be found!!! I am totally impressed with this product and for $10, its worth every penny! So there is no need to worry anymore with Wilsons Leather & Suede Protector.
