Designer Deals: 30% + Off of Some of Your Favorite Designer Bags
Not all of us can stop into our favorite designer store and spend a couple grand on a fabulous new handbag every time we go shopping. Many of us have to save up for a while and when we do get that bag we covet it. Since these bags aren’t just being sent to our front doors as gifts, we want to find the best deals we can on them. I decided to take a look on Overstock.com because I have found some great deals on designer handbags on that site. I looked through their selection and these were my favorite two:
The first bag on the left is the Gucci White Leather Aviatrix Boston Bag. This was one of my favorites because it is perfect for the summer. I saw this bag when it first came out and I thought it was pretty fierce. It originally retailed at $2,450.00, but on Overstock.com you can get it at 31% off for $1,699.90. That is a savings of $750.10! For most of us that is a lot to save…and better yet, can buy us an extra handbag or pair of shoes!
The second bag on the right is the Jimmy Choo Burgundy Ramona Leather Shoulder Bag. This bag is great because everyone needs a red leather bag in their closet. Red bags are just so versatile that you can’t miss out. This bag is the perfect red bag because it can go with almost any outfit and can be dressed up or dressed down. It is the perfect everyday bag and will last you beyond one season. This bag was originally $3,400.00 but is now $1,999.99…that is a whopping 41% off. That’s a saving of $1,400.00! Yes $1,400.00!! Do you know how much you can buy with $1,400.00?? Ladies, I don’t think it would hurt for us to wait it out a little longer so that we can get deals and savings like this.

Gucci Hysteria Python Bag
Hysteria it is! I was in all sorts of hysterics when I first saw this bag. The texture…the detail…the buttons…the size! All of it is just perfect. This bag exudes luxury and style. It has brought back the best of Gucci. It is everything we have come to expect from Gucci…top quality and style. This medium top handle bag is one to show off. It comes in black python with double handles, a detachable shoulder strap, and beautiful metal Gucci crest detail. This is the bag that will last you for years and become your very own treasured vintage bag. You couldn’t ask for better quality and detailing. One of my favorite things about this bag is the Gucci metal crest buttoning. This bag is from Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2008 line and is at high demand right now…for good reason too! With this bag…hysteria just might ensue.

Nancy Gonzalez Summer Crocodile Tote
Time to crack out the crocodile again! You don’t often see summer handbags in crocodile prints. The crocodile prints are usually saved for the fall and winter bags and are usually brown and black but Nancy Gonzalez has presented us with a summer crocodile print bag. It is made of Colombian crocodile in a spectacular shade of orange that is perfect for the summer. It is of the highest quality and features gold hardware and a detachable shoulder strap. It’s the perfect size to fit all of your summer essentials and the vibrant color will liven up any outfit.
I personally love this bag. The color is amazing and very unique and rare. I think it is very important to have at least one bag of such a wild color tone along side your basic colored bags in order to give a little burst of color to your wardrobe. It is perfect if you are wearing jeans and a white t-shirt or an entirely black outfit. Throwing this bag on your shoulder automatically turns your boring outfit stylish and trendy and gives it a color break. I also love how large it is. You can throw everything you need in it and still have room leftover. You can take it from day to night. It is very versatile, stylish, and chic. You can’t go wrong with this Nancy Gonzalez summer crocodile tote!

Convertible Bag: The Antrobus by Alison Antrobus
I was doing some online shopping and came across a most unusual bag. It was unlike any other bag I have ever seen. On the outside it looked like a stylish, chic handbag, but the inside consisted of complex compartments and design. It combined architecture and fashion into one bag to create a stylish and practical way to carry around your most prized, everyday necessities. This bag is the Antrobus Bag created by Alison Antrobus. It is a handbag/drawer set/clutch converting bag. It was created to suit any and all of your needs. The Antrobus Bag is black leather with brushed golden accents. It begins as a geometric carryall where a two-drawer box can be pulled out and detached, making the top portion of the bag a smaller shoulder bag. The bottom portion of the bag can be zipped off and used as a clutch. The bottom portion of the bag is offered in additional colors allowing you to change the look of the bag.
This bag is amazing! Its more like 3 bags in one…a large carryall, a smaller shoulder bag, and a clutch. It retails at $1,250 at vivre.com and three bags at that price definately isn’t a bad deal. The Antrobus Bag provides style, function, practicality and organization. This certainly is a bag of all trades!

Hollywood’s New Bag Queen: Eva Longoria Parker
Hollywood has many bag queens…Victoria Beckham, Jessica Simpson, Kate Moss. Now joining the ranks of these elite Hollywood bag queens is Eva Longoria Parker. She has taken her stylish fashion sense from Wisteria Lane off the screen. Whether she is walking her dog, going to a red carpet even, or in France with Tony, she is always seen carrying one of the season’s hottest bags. Her bags are always the perfect touch to her stylish clothes. They match her shoes and compliment her outfits so well.
In an interview with Instyle.com, she revealed the contents of her 133-square foot closet and it included many, many, many bags including a coveted hot pink crocodile Hermes Birkin bag. Of the Birkin bag, her stylist advised her to “wear it with everything� because it was going to be handed down in her will. She’ll have plenty more to hand down in her will. Every day she is seen with a different bag by a different designer…Gucci, Hermes, Dior, you name it, she’s got it. Looks like a new bag queen is in town!

It’s almost that time of year again…the sun comes out…time for bikinis, sunscreen, and sand. Every Fashionista needs to look just as good on the beach as she does on the streets and with that comes designer beach bags. Many designers have blessed us with stylish beach totes that look fabulous on the beach or a night out on the town afterwards.

Dior has graced us with its ever so chicness and has come out with the St. Tropez Animal Print Beach Bag retailing at $1,300. St. Tropez is right! This bag is the perfect accessory to finish up your classy beach look on St. Tropez, the French Riveria, or why not even the Hamptons! This may not be your typical beach bag but is fully equipped for all of your beach necessities and totally glams up your beach wardrobe! Juicy Couture has also come out with a few fashionable beach bags. The first one is the Beach Surfrider Tote retailing at $225. Safari Bags
Ohhhh…take me to the jungle! One of Spring’s hottest trends is the safari look. From khaki clothing to woven wedges, wooden bangles, and animal print bags, the safari look is all over the place. Prints like zebra, cheetah, giraffe, and leopard and textures like crocodile and snakeskin leathers adorn this season’s hottest bags.
The first bag featured is the Michael Kors Large North/South Tote. This bag is made of giraffe printed canvas with grain leather trim and brush metal hardware. It retails at a fair $298 and is large enough to fit all the necessities and even good enough to take on a jungle expedition. The second bag featured is the Fendi Extra Large Fringed Zebra Baguette Tote and retails at a more hefty $5,420. The bag consists of zebra printed pony hair and leather fringe. This bag is wild and fun. The multicolor fringe gives sets it apart from the typical zebra print. The third bag featured is the Dior Runway Dior Jazzclub Zebra Flapped Bag and retails at $3,510. This may be my favorite of the bunch. It is funky and captures the trendy safari theme but still remains chic and sophisticated. This bag is very versatile and can be worn with a khaki, safari inspired outfit or with a little black dress. The final bag featured is the Loeffler Randall Snakeskin-Stamped Envelope Clutch. This bag is made of Shiny snakeskin-embossed leather and features polished gold metal hardware. It is the perfect little safari clutch and may even fit some bug spray for those humid nights in the jungle!

Chanel Metallic Crackled Bag
Bling bling for sure. This bag can be spotted from a mile away. Chanel’s new metallic crackled calfskin flap bag from the Spring/Summer ’08 line gleams of gold and with the silver accent oozes shimmer. This bag is a far cry away from Chanel’s usual basic quilted leather bag but maintains the tradition with its simple shape, chain strap, and Chanel logo buckle.
This bag is the link between classic chick and funky couture. It is the perfect bag with an evening dress, to funk up a pair of jeans, or to glam up for a night out on the town. Its funky enough to stand out on its own but simple enough to wear with any outfit. Many times, such shiny, metallic bags can look kind of cheap and be the quick trend of a season but this bag is made of the finest quality and boasts of exceptional detail. It is one of those bags that can be carried on and off for years. With this bag, Chanel has truly upheld its tradition of always offering something old with something new.
