Has anyone ever heard of MOYNA New York? I stumbled across some pieces from this designer recently and… what can I say? My interest was definitely piqued by these delightful little pieces! In particular, I’m really liking the MOYNA Beaded Pouches you see pictured here. They are just so cute and they have captured my imagination. I decided I needed to know more about this designer. What I found out was somewhat surprising.
I have developed a fondness for Charlotte Olympia lately. Why? Well, that is a very good question. But it’s also a difficult one to answer. To be honest, I’m not really sure what the allure is. For some reason, I just feel drawn to these unusual pieces. Perhaps it’s simply because I like to see something new. Let’s face it, Charlotte Olympia’s designs are not something you see every day. Plus I’m excited because this latest season was inspired by the city of love — Paris! However, these pieces aren’t inspired by what I would call your typical Paris icons. Take a look at the Charlotte Olympia Perfume Perspex Clutch and you will see what I mean.
Well… I am certainly disappointed. The first day of spring has come and gone, yet here I am wondering when the heck spring is actually going to get here. And to think that silly groundhog said we would have only 4 more weeks of winter. Since then, I have counted 7 weeks. It has been cold and snowy almost that entire time. You lied to me Mr Groundhog! So in an effort to cheer myself up, I thought I would take a look at some warm weather handbags — particularly, straw totes! They are perfect for a sunny day at the beach or a casual trip to your local farmers market. Plus they tend to be more on the affordable side. So you won’t feel so bad at the end of the season if your tote was loved a little too much and is beginning to unravel. Personally, I would prefer that over an expensive white leather handbag because I would stress so much over keeping it clean! So if you are looking to lift your spirits and give yourself something to look forward to using this summer, then check out these lovely straw totes featured below. The selection is just starting to fill out so these are just some of my favorites so far!
In the world of mini, there are two things I have noticed lately. First, wristlets are still holding a strong presence. And second, the canteen-style bag is making an apparent comeback. While these things are great by themselves, I have to admit I am intrigued by the idea of a round wristlet. I have seen them in the past, but for some reason this idea feels new. Perhaps it’s just the fact that I haven’t seen one in awhile. The round shape is canteen-like, but since we’re talking about a wristlet here it’s even smaller than a mini bag. So when I saw the M missoni Graphic Zigzag Wristlet, I thought it would be fun to give it a second look.
Rebecca Minkoff is always on my radar! Always! Why? What can I say? I just really love her designs. Her use of bold hardware, unusual colors, and unique shapes gives her pieces an edge that I find absolutely irresistible. So, as you can probably imagine, I am always on the lookout for new styles I can drool over. But what amazes me the most about Rebecca Minkoff is her versatility. Just as her designs can be edgy and bold, they can be refined and sophisticated as well! And that is exactly what we have here! Meet the Rebecca Minkoff Python Jayden Satchel!
Emilio Pucci has been off my radar lately. I don’t really know why. Perhaps I was just tired of seeing the same old “Pucci-print” over and over again. Don’t get me wrong, the classic prints are nice. I think I just got a little bored with them since they seemed to be everywhere a little while back. But now it looks like Pucci is trying to do something different for a change. One piece that particularly caught my eye was the Emilio Pucci Dragon Embroidered Satchel!
Spring is almost here! Who is in the mood for a little Flower Power? Florals are, of course, a given in the fashion world this time of year. While I do like florals, I have a harder time accepting them on handbags. Floral prints just look better on clothing, in my opinion. But I was thinking that perhaps handbags don’t need to feel neglected here. In fact, I think I have found the perfect compromise! Introducing the Mulberry Scalloped Flower Bag!
I am not going to deny that Alexander McQueen makes the most beautiful pieces. The Alexander McQueen Knuckle Clutches aren’t my FAVORITE favorite (that would be the Skull Clutches), but they are definitely the next runner up. They are always so ornate with many exquisite details. But I came across the Alexander McQueen Hummingbird Knuckle Clutch and… well, I have a little bone to pick.
Gosh, when is Easter this year? A quick glance at the calendar tells me it is at the end up March. Hmm, no wonder all the stores are packed full of Easter baskets, eggs, and candy. Oh boy, don’t get me started on Easter candy! Just looking at it makes me drool. Do you have a favorite? Mine has to be jelly beans! They have so many different varieties now too. So here I am with Easter candy on the brain when I stumble across the Rebecca Minkoff Jelly Bean Bag and all I could think was how awesome it is!
