Today the creative director of Lacoste is Christophe Lemaire. The line was founded in 1933 by world famous tennis player Jean Rene Lacoste (nicked “le Crocodile”).

The famous logo was born through a bet. French tennis champion Rene Lacoste agreed to a gamble with his Captain of the French Davis Cup Team. If he were to have won (a very important) match he would have received an alligator suitcase. He lost. The local papers printed that he “fought like an alligator” and was nicknamed “the Alligator” by the American press. Later on that year Robert George sketched up the famous ‘crocodile’ for friend Rene Lactose who then had the image embroidered on a blazer which he commonly wore on the courts. Tada, the legacy of Lacoste was born.

About the Bag: If it was spring summer 2007 then I wouldn’t even hesitate, this bag would be mine. This Lacoste navy blue and white pinstriped small-weave terrycloth bag is brand new with tags still attached and adorned with the super sized alligator logo. Interior in cotton with alligator illustration repeated. Zipper pocket and hanging zipper clutch. Snap top. Measures about 19 x 14 x 6. The size is big enough for a weekend getaway, everyday work tote or even as a chic diaper bag.

Storksak Gigi | Diaper Bag
When you think of designer bags, I am sure that the diaper bag isn’t the number one type of bag that pops in your head. When I first saw this bag a while ago I had no idea who the designer was, well until I saw the article in People’s Magazine.

Above is the Storksak Gigi Diaper Bag which is available through ShopIntuition.com for $198 and is only available in color chocolate. If not a fan of the chocolate color, over at MommyShop.com has this Storksak Gigi available in other colors like sky blue and rose pink, however this product wont ship out any sooner than ‘late september’.

Coach | Baby Items
Expecting, or already have a designer baby? Then you definitely need to take a glance at these new Coach Baby designer goods that just arrived in the Spring Catalog. To be honest, at first I didn’t really like how the signature Coach fabric on the Scribble bags doesn’t line up on every style, to me that seems a little sloppy. I know that’s a little characteristic, but I have already seen a bunch of these bags on ebay (replicated fake ones), that look like the scribble bag. Something new I noticed on the spring bags – the double id Coach tags.
