Balenciaga History

Cristobal Balenciaga created the Spanish Renaissance influenced couturier house in the mid-twentieth century. In 1997 Nicolas Ghesquiere was appointed the creative director at Balenciaga and since taking the position he has created a strong handbag fan base that continues to grow season after season.

In 2000 Balenciaga introduced the “classic” handbag line, then in 2004 they added men’s accessories to the collection.

The top Baleciaga handbag styles include the First, City, Day, Weekender and the Part Time, in Regular Hardware or Giant Hardware.

Celebrities famously known for their Balenciaga collection are Nicole Richie, Ashlee Simpson, Vanessa Hudgens, Lauren Conrad, Miley Cyrus, Nicky Hilton, Hayden Panettiere, and many more.
