Juicy Couture is one of those brands that has completely changed since when I first started my designer handbag obsession back in the early 2000′s. Back then Juicy Couture was known for their cutesy terry cloth bags, but since then they’ve added a bunch of new styles, with a more classic vibe.
Well… I am certainly disappointed. The first day of spring has come and gone, yet here I am wondering when the heck spring is actually going to get here. And to think that silly groundhog said we would have only 4 more weeks of winter. Since then, I have counted 7 weeks. It has been cold and snowy almost that entire time. You lied to me Mr Groundhog! So in an effort to cheer myself up, I thought I would take a look at some warm weather handbags — particularly, straw totes! They are perfect for a sunny day at the beach or a casual trip to your local farmers market. Plus they tend to be more on the affordable side. So you won’t feel so bad at the end of the season if your tote was loved a little too much and is beginning to unravel. Personally, I would prefer that over an expensive white leather handbag because I would stress so much over keeping it clean! So if you are looking to lift your spirits and give yourself something to look forward to using this summer, then check out these lovely straw totes featured below. The selection is just starting to fill out so these are just some of my favorites so far!
It is still cold here. I’m sorry, but I am really ready for Spring to get here. Oh well, I suppose it is warm somewhere. So if you have a bad case of Spring Fever like me, then perhaps you are thinking of heading some place warm and sunny for a little bit. Whatever you do though, don’t opt for a cruise! Haha! A nice sandy beach wouldn’t feel too bad right now though. Only problem is it isn’t quite beach tote season yet. So finding something nice and versatile might be a little tricky right now. Don’t worry though, I have found an awesome piece that would fit the bill perfectly! Introducing the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Escape Bag!
Confession time. I have to admit, ever since Missoni teamed up with Target a couple years ago, I’ve been turned off from Missoni stuff. And I use to be obsessed with Missoni too! I have a dozen scarves and shawls, some dresses and a couple pairs of shoes that I purchased before the Target collaboration. Since then I just haven’t been interested in the iconic Zig-Zag print. I’m not knocking the Target stuff (or Missoni). I was one of those standing in line at the break of dawn and soon as the doors opened I grabbed everything I could. However, I NEVER wore any of it or used any of their home decor stuff. It actually just went straight to the Goodwill. The quality just wasn’t there or what I was use to come to expect from Missoni products.
Late summer release or early resort? Whether the timing was accurate or not, you have to agree that the Baja Bags truly stands out amongst the crowd of fall accessories. I love the blacks and gloomy items of the season but Tory Burch successfully blended carnival stripes onto a durable canvas bag and we’re digging that as well.
Colorful prints are trending this season, but it’s the absence of fall inspirations on this creation that allows this piece to stand out even more. Muted orange, blues, and berry hues are mixed into this colorful palette, while the golden textured rope pulls this handbag together. Without dark cosmic colors, faux furs or hints of sparkle appliqué, we wonder if this tote is a style savvy accessory for the season.
Summer is vastly approaching and straw bags are everywhere. I use to hate them with a passion. To me they screamed old fashion in a bad way. It was as if they were outdated to me but now they are actually growing on me! They are definitely being designed a lot more prettier and stylish these days. Right now, I’m loving the Tory Burch Straw Square Tote.
Coach handbags are sort of like a roller coaster — they have had their ups and downs. For a long time, I wasn’t liking what I was seeing. Now, suddenly I am finding myself falling in love with the brand all over again. Funny how that works, isn’t it? I think what has been grabbing my attention lately are these new bags that don’t scream Coach. No logos or signature prints. No classic leather styles that everyone recognizes. Intriguing isn’t it? Just check out the Coach Bleecker Tote and you will see what I mean!
Beach season is pretty much here folks and there is no better way to embrace it than with new designer accessories! I literally live five minutes from the beach and I hardly ever go. Believe me though if I could get myself to go more often, I would have my little set of designer beach goodies. For women, beach gear always consist of a gorgeous bikini, shoes to match and a stunning bag. The bag is really important because for me it has to be huge. I hate going to the beach and carrying a bunch of different bags. If I can fit everything I need for the beach in one bag, then all the better.
Right now beach totes can be found in abundance but very few can actually exceed the cute margin and into the mesmerizing phase. Say hello to this ultra chic Piazzato Tote by Emilio Pucci. I’ve always been a fan of Pucci’s vibrant prints on clothing and accessories but when found on oversized summer ready totes, they’re even more electrifying!
