Today, one of our favorite boutiques (Shopbop) offers these resort-influenced products for the exotic enthusiast in mind. The Carry On Beach Bag consists of a handmade woven tote with colorful knotted threads at the handles. It’s sturdy, eco-friendly, and sun ready; but my concern is where do you draw the line between chic and novelty?

Straw totes, especially with their natural woven features always make an attractive choice for any warm occasion, but they can be too naturally constructed to where they become completely unfashionable. A sunny day bag should see the light of day a great dose of times throughout the warm seasons and not become back-of-the-closet junk.
