Rebecca Minkoff Diamond Raffia Beach Tote

Spring is just around the corner and you know what that means! That’s right, it’s time for our handbags to loosen up a bit. The best way to do that, of course, is to break out your favorite fabric piece. Fabric handbags are so light and airy, perfect for putting a spring in your step as those warmer months approach. My favorite fabric on handbags has got to be linen. It has this great look and feel to it that is nothing short of luxurious. Rebecca Minkoff is one designer that is no stranger to linen. So it really was no surprise to find some linen pieces pop up in this season’s collection. It was this piece that really caught my eye though. Meet the Rebecca Minkoff Diamond Raffia Beach Tote!

This is definitely an unusual piece. Not because it’s linen. Rather, it is unusual because of the diamond pattern. The pattern is actually embroidery… with raffia “thread”. From a distance, it gives the pattern a sketched look. I like how it is an off-centered pattern too. Instead of a diamond being at the center, you’re looking at the corners of four diamonds meeting at one point. Together, you get a look that is almost animal print-like in appearance. Accenting the look, we have some color coordinating leather trim and cute pyramid studs. This would make a great weekend bag, but you could sport it any day of the week for a nice casual look!
