Botkier! Yet another designer I used to love until they seemingly dropped off the face of the Earth. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Perhaps it is just me. I don’t know. Oh well, it isn’t like Botkier completely disappeared. There are still a few new designs that come out every now and then. But I feel as if all the “magic” has faded since Botkier stopped producing their “It” bag — The Trigger Satchel (Note: There is a new Legacy Satchel that is inspired by the Trigger, but it is larger). Don’t get me wrong, nothing lasts forever and I realize that. I just wish they would turn out an equally “It” worthy design again. For example, this Botkier Rock Deco Satchel isn’t too bad. I actually like it. But it is missing something. I can’t seem to put my finger on it though.
I like the relaxed rectangular shape. It has just enough structure to look neat and tidy, but it still looks somewhat casual. Of course, I love the studs. Who wouldn’t? Plus I like the gunmetal hardware paired with the black leather. I guess I am a little over the whole gold and black thing. At least at the moment. The gunmetal hardware really ties into the rocker chic look. Simply pair this bag with a white tee and skinny black jeans and you will be good to go!
