Botkier Sophia Bag

Ever look up at the sky and make out a rabbit or a bear in the fluffy white clouds? Of course, we have all done that at some point in our lives. It was one of those things that you did to pass the time during those long car rides. Well, today the Botkier Sophia Large Satchel became my cloud. But, then again, I have always been a very imaginative person. So what do you think ladies? Is it an English saddle or a little boat? I’m not sure what it is, but the shape of this bag is just making me want to see things!

Once I suppress my urge to make something out of nothing though, I do find the Botkier Sophia Large Satchel to be somewhat appealing. I do like the crescent shape and the fold-over flaps that make up the opening to the main compartment. The studs are cute and subtle, not as “in your face” as many of the other bags that are out there right now. And did you see the magnetic closure on this bag? It’s the good kind where the magnet is securely sewn inside the leather (as opposed to being attached to the outside). If you’ve ever had a magnetic closure rip out of your handbag, then you know what I’m talking about here! Overall, this bag is adorable and versatile too (note the zip-around expansion gusset and optional shoulder strap). My only gripe is that it looks stiff, as if you could sit on it and rock back and forth. Hehe, I guess that means I should think this bag looks like a seesaw!

I love the black! Would like to see it in more colors though. I hate how designers think that just because it’s Fall / Autumn we like the dull neutral color palette. come on. I need color!

It’s okay, but not a bag I would pay full price for.

It looks like a stiff board. Not my taste.

I do not like this bag at all. And what’s with the “13″ plaque? I don;t get it. I noticed a couple of her bags have that.

I love this bag! It’s really cute. I wonder if the middle part is more slouchy in real life.

I definitely see a little bit of boat in the design ;)
