Botkier vs. Kardashian
Monica Botkier is one of my favorite handbag designers of all time. Her classic like the Trigger is an instant star to many, eye-catching and stunning. So when I saw the news over on WWD that one of her designs was copied by the Kardashian’s I had to pass the news along.
Thursday Monica Botkier sent a cease and desist letter to Sears, the exclusive retailer of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian’s handbag line the Kardashian Kollection after it was discovered that K’s kopied Monica’s classic Trigger Clyde.
Monica took to her blog – “We just discovered how our Botkier ‘Clyde’ was simply copied by Kardashian Kollection for Sears. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery but we don’t think so …”
And neither do we!

I can’t believe this. It’s kinda funny really that they would think they could get away with this.
Botkier is my favorite designer! Shame on Kardashian’s for ripping off their design.
For handbag designers they sure don’t know the business.

It’s identical except for that tacky plastic leopard print.
You know what alot of people should learn from this?? Celebrities aren’t always involved in the styling process, there is a team of designers. I mean come on, you really think they just woke up on day and became fashion designers? They just slap their name on the end product.
Uhm is there any competition here? It’s identical. I can’t believe they copied her bag.
