It’s that time of year again! The leaves have fallen and the weather is turning colder. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it! Oh my, where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday that I was having to remember to write 09, instead of 08, when writing the date on my checks.

With the days passing by so quickly, it may be a good idea to start thinking of potential Christmas gifts for that special someone. Nothing, in my opinion, is worse than waiting until the last minute. So what do you think ladies? Would your significant other enjoy a new wallet this year? Personally, I think my husband could use a new one. Of course, he would probably disagree with that. Something can be completely worn out and he will still refuse to get rid of it. I’ve been looking for quite some time, for a designer travel bag. I love the Louis Vuitton “Keepall” bags, but I kind of wanted something black. Using a bag as a travel bag can get dirty very easily especially if you travel a lot. My travel bags are notorious for getting fifty, so I knew a Louis Vuitton “Keepall” was definitely out of the question for me.

I have a black travel bag now, and you can’t even notice the wear and tear on it. I use it constantly, and for it to still look brand new is amazing.

When I spotted the Burberry “Weekender” Bag, I was in love! It was everything I was looking for in a designer travel bag! It was black, the perfect size, and came with a shoulder strap. I tend to carry a lot of shoes in my travel bags, so a shoulder strap is always a must.

It doesn’t look like you would be able to fit much in this bag, but I do think it would be a great carry on bag. Face it, nowadays you can’t have a big carry on bag to bring with you on the plane. If you can find a bag that can hold some clothes, shoes, and personal items then you got a winner. When a travel bag can do all that, plus be made by one of your favorite designer’s then that makes it all the more reason to buy it! Right?

The Burberry “Weekender” Bag can be purchased at Nordstrom for $795, which I believe is a great price for this bag. It’s not very often you can find a designer travel bag below $1,000 and that is a fact! It’s pretty, simple, and does justice for what you need it for. I give Burberry a “thumbs up” for designing this beautiful piece!

The Chat: weekender!

I’ve never been a fan of Burberry, in fact I always despised Burberry. I’m one of these people that hates anything plaid. To me, plaid looks like a bunch of railroad tracks that is somehow considered fashionable. I will admit though, that I have liked some Burberry handbags over the years but not enough or me to purchase them.

As of today, I may have had a slight change of heart about Burberry and plaid. I discovered one of the prettiest Burberry handbags I’ve ever seen and it’s plaid! The bag is called the Burberry “Check Print Canvas Tote” and it’s sensational.

The pleating on the front of the bag immediately reminded me of the Louis Vuitton “Trevi”, which just so happens to be one of my favorite handbags of all time. Being that the bag as a whole is dark colored, it makes the plaid compliment the bag well. Sometimes when plaid is on light colors it can make anything look like a train wreck!

I don’t quite understand the point of the chain on this bag, but I suppose the dark color of the chain also goes great with the bag. This would be a great Fall handbag for any fashionista. A lot of people tend to wear a lot of brown in the Fall, and this handbag would match their outfits perfectly. Overall, this really is a stunning bag.

The Burberry “Check Print Canvas Tote” can be purchased at Nordstrom for $1,395. I’m not sure if I would ever pay that much for a Burberry bag, but it may just be worth it for this particular bag. I crown this one of the most beautiful Fall handbags I have seen yet! If you’ve never been a fan of Burberry, this handbag just may change your mind like it did to me!

When I get a new bag, I look forward to breaking it in with wear. I also stay cautious of stains, scratches, and water; I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. I own a particular Coach bag that I used for quite some time a couple of years ago, and being made of white cotton, it was simply a dirt magnet. I ignored the flaws of stains and dirt, but pretty soon, I realized it was time to retire it. Nobody wants to carry a bag that looks beyond used or ancient, but over at the House of Burberry, they obviously have a different outlook.

Meet the Burberry Raffia Shopper. It’s distressed, deconstructed, and made of textured raffia swatches. At first, I thought it was reptile skin swatches, but instead, it appears to be small weaves of leather. I admire the artistic concept of the shopper, but other than that, I won’t be running to any Burberry shop to grab this piece. As a brand new bag it already appears in bad condition, I can only imagine how it would look with age. Ladies what’s your input on this Burberry, do you like this?

The Chat: Raffia BURBERRY

Colorful nylon shoppers have landed at Nordstroms and they come spring/summer ready! Presented to us by the House of Burberry, take a look at their latest designs. I wouldn’t call myself a fan of the nylon bag, unless it’s nylon on a diaper bag or on a really bad kick-around bag. They just aren’t my style as I find them too wobbly and cheap, not to mention most are pretty boring. Unless pleats, bold colors, and lot’s of leather trim are present, I’ll pass up on nylon bag, anytime.

Wouldn’t you agree that the structures of these totes seem pretty familiar? Double thin shoulder straps and draw strings at the sides to increase and decrease capacity… does Neverfull ring a bell? A clean silhouette makes this perfect for everyday wear, and you can pick your choice of nylon color from simple white and birch to bold red and pretty lavender.

Ladies, what’s your input on this Burberry? What about on Nylon handbags in general? For $195, you can add this shopper to your collection. Although that price is still pretty steep, it’s nice to know that Burberry isn’t over exaggeratingly asking for more.
