How does the All-American brand Dooney & Bourke rank with you bagistas? Some people find their handbags to be fun and unique, while others simply dislike the brand all together. For the past couple of years, Dooney & Bourke has been criticized for releasing incredibly awkward designs on their handbags and accessories. Bumblebees, Candies, Texas, and Miami are a couple of names of the not so popular designs by Dooney. For quite some time now, I was really looking forward to seeing a plain and normal looking handbag, and recently, the brand finally released one.

Meet the Exclusive Canvas Totes by Dooney & Bourke. These simple totes lack those wacky designs Dooney is known for, yet they seem great to take to the beach or on a picnic. Although they are “good? different, they are also quite boring! That boring plaided pattern just doesn’t do anything for me. Yes this tote is available in a wide variety of hues, but I just can’t imagine myself spending even the low retail price of $120 on one of these bags. What do you ladies think? Would you wear this bag, or is this line simply another Dooney & Bourke letdown?

With the Hollywood baby boom, having babies seems like the latest trend. Along with babies comes diapers, wipes, and bottles and these aren’t likely to fit in mommy’s Dior clutch now will they? Of course not, but don’t ever underestimate Hollywood fashionistas….where there is a will there is a way…and where there are stylish mommies comes practical designers. Many designers, from Burberry to Juicy Couture, have jumped on the bandwagon of designing chic diaper bags for couture mommies.

The first diaper bag featured above is the Juicy Couture Scottie-Print Diaper Bag, Camomile Lawn and retails at a fair $350. This bag is roomy enough to fit all of the essentials and chic enough to keep mommy looking stylish. And best of all it comes with “Couture Baby” burping cloth, “Couture Baby” bib, and “Juicy Couture” blanket. The second diaper bag featured is the Felix Rey Lucia Leopard-Print Diaper Bag. This ultra chic and stylish bag retails at $350 as well and is sophisticated enough for mommy’s work suits. The third bag featured is the Chloe Diaper Bag and retails at $812. Fendi Woven Tote = Supporting American Forests
Ah, the yearly anticipated Holiday season is here. It’s the time for giving and a time for sharing, and right now at Barneys they have a select stash of designer goodies that when you purchase they will donate a portion to a charity. If only all fashion department stores would jump aboard to support a cause.

Barneys wants you to have a Green Holiday. This Holiday season Barneys is supporting American Forests, and hold a commitment to plant 25,000 trees. Which makes you feel a little guilty for chopping down your yearly holiday tree huh? I went plastic this year.

There are only a handful of designer bags, clothes and accessories that were selected in this promotion (check barneys). One of the bags that caught our eye, well besides the Go-Green Goyard St. Louis Shopper Tote, was this silver woven signature double “F? Shopper Tote. Priced at $805 and a portion going to Sustainable Harvest International.
