*thrifty thrill* Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Sailor Marc Tote

I’ve never been too fond of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc collection.. Fashionista’s world wide have been in love with Miss Marc for some time, but to me the collection was always so bland. I recently came across the Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Tote, and I was pleasantly surprised that I actually loved it! It wasn’t tacky, and was the perfect little tote for a sunny day.
The tote is made of canvas, has dual handles, and has a front exterior zip pocket. The measurements of the tote are, 14″ wide x 14 1/2″ high giving you plenty of room for all of your essentials. Only downfall about this handbag is that I wouldn’t wear this tote all year round. Being that the handbag is white with colors, and features Miss Marc on the front; I would strictly wear this handbag during the day and only in the Spring and Summer. To me, the handbag is too fun and wild to be worn in the Fall or Winter, but of course that is just my opinion.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Tote can be purchased at Zappos for $129, which is a great price compared to the $152 original price tag. Miss Marc is one of Marc Jacob’s most popular designs, and if you like the tote I would purchase it quickly because with a sale price like that I’m sure it won’t be around for long.

Miu Miu Basket Bag on sale..
by Deysa on May 28, 2009 16 comments
Here’s an item that would rank on the top of my list of handbags I would never be caught wearing. Meet the Patent Leather Basket Tote by Miu Miu. I am a fan of the Italian based brand Miu Miu, from their feminine leather handbags to their bold and funky shoes, I love them all. So I was in complete utter shock when I ran into this tote of theirs. Who’s the brains behind this bag and why didn’t they complete it? The handbags details are as shocking as it gets, glossy black patent leather forms the weave silhouette of this basket-like tote bag; with all those openings found throughout this bag, you can kiss some of your smallest essentials goodbye. Miu Miu prepared this tote with a removable drawstring satin pouch to keep your stuff private, and it’s pretty disappointing how much it looks like a dust bag rather than a removable pouch.

Ladies what’s your input on this Miu Miu, would you wear this? If you have your eye on this unique tote, you can find it in patent black or red for $660, (that’s 20% off it’s retail value).

Juicy Couture Day Dreamer Floral Tote
by Deysa on May 26, 2009 8 comments
Juicy Couture wants to keep its fans to the minute with the latest trendy handbags your Couture bucks can buy. Check out the latest tote bag to hit the Velour section, the Day Dreamer Floral Tote. Yes, most Day Dreamers do sport flowery charms and trinkets, but this Day Dreamer has a slightly different aspect. This tote sports a bohemian chic look that would compliment any casual day summer look. I’d never been one to turn down black velour and the fact that the overall color is black is a plus in my book. Looking further into the details, I’m really digging the double braided leather handles; they fit in with the theme, perfectly. Multicolor floral embroidering and a discreet embroidering among the flower stems read Juicy. Crowns, butterflies, a leather tassel, and a giant flower charm all found among the clutter as well.
This would make the perfect bag for girls of all ages. The fashion staff over at Net-A-Porter prove this with their mannequin, as you don’t necessarily have to be in your teens to rock this tote! Juicy Couture Generation Y Canvas Tote
by Marissa on May 26, 2009 17 comments
I have always loved Juicy Couture’s canvas totes. They are so big and spacious that you can fit so much in them and still have so much room. They are definitely ideal for a college student who has to carry so many books, notebooks, and a lap top. Another plus to this tote is that is has a magnetic closure. I have seen many Juicy Couture totes in person, and I don’t remember ever seeing a magnetic closure on one. A magnetic closure is definitely an added plus to the already gorgeous Juicy Couture tote.
Some details of the tote include having interior pockets and logo print lining. Also, if the tote ever happens to get dirty from everyday wear, that’s ok because it can be machine washed! The tote comes in a gorgeous magenta-like color and has the saying, “From Juicy With Love” on it. If you are looking for a simple but yet stylish tote, this is without a doubt one of the cutest totes I have seen in a while!

The Juicy Couture Generation Y Canvas Tote can be purchased at Nordstrom for $78, which I think is a great price for this tote. The tote may be on the simple side, but it is a designer tote. For a designer tote, that’s fashionable and cute it’s definitely worth the money!

Mad Imports Ile St. Marie Tote

It’s time to tuck in your fall/winter handbags and bring out the bright ones. Here’s a perfect candidate for World’s Most Colorful Handbag.
Just take a look at how cheerful and fun this is, it sort of reminds me of a piñata or of the cheery background page of a scrapbook. Shopbop (dot com) claims this is the ultimate resort bag, what do you ladies think? I can’t really argue with that statement as I can see why they would refer to it as that.
This bag is composed of woven dyed sea grass and colorful crochet raffia overlaps the grassy texture. My favorite feature found on the Ile Ste. Marie Tote would have to be the double squared wooden handles although they do look really uncomfortable.
This earthy bag would make a great companion to your trip to the beach and would look great with any summer dress this season.
More features include a straw interior, a patch pocket, and a button closure to keep your essentials private from its open top. This imported summer bag measures 11” x 17” x 8” and currently retails for $85.

Emilio Pucci Multi Print Shopper + Sample Sale Alert!!!
by Deysa on April 25, 2009 13 comments
Any Emilio Pucci print fans out there? I call him the King of Prints, and each season I totally look forward to seeing the latest geometrical prints hitting the runway. It’s those funky bold colors and designs that always fascinate me. New to S/S 09’ is the Yellow Multi Print Shopper. Just take a look at those colors, how could you not be mesmerized by them? Seeing the collaboration of asymmetrical shapes and colors brings childhood memories of hours spent fascinated with a toy kaleidoscope I once owned. I say this would make a perfect accessory to your summer wardrobe. Pair this shopper with white pants and flirty tops or your favorite summer dress for a chic and playful look. Made of a colorful coated canvas body with soft blue-grained leather trim, and weighed down with contrasting silver toned hardware, I can’t see how anybody wouldn’t like this piece. Pretty bags don’t come cheap as you can preorder this Pucci for $660. Measuring 16.5” x 13” x 8” and available in the colorful but washed down version of Peach/Green Multi, pick up this boxy shopper in your favorite version.

Maybe, Maybe Not Marc by Marc Jacobs Tote
by Marissa on April 17, 2009 14 comments
Always leave it to Marc Jacobs to come up with catchy handbag designs. Marc Jacobs has come out with a new tote for his Marc by Marc Jacobs line and it’s called the Maybe, Maybe Not Tote. There is only one word that can be used to best describe this tote: unique.
The denim tote features “Maybe” lettering on the solid front panel and “Maybe Not” lettering on the striped back panel. The handles also have the same theme as the tote, one handle is solid denim while the other is striped.
Measurements of the tote are, 16.5″H x 15″L with a 11″ strap drop. The tote is absolutely perfect for those days you need to carry a lot, or when you simply want a casual bag that will stick out in a crowd.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs Maybe, Maybe Not Tote can be purchased at Shop Bop for $88. I think $88 is a little bit too much for this tote. To Me, the tote is quite plain, but yet has a clever way of making it unique. At most, this tote is worth $40, but of course that is just my opinion. If you are a Marc Jacobs fan, then perhaps you will want to snatch up this bag to add to your collection!
