Guess Who: Celebrity with the Gucci Indy Handbag
Yesterday this ex-OC blonde beauty was spotted strolling the streets of the meatpacking district of NYC, stopping at the French restaurant “Pastis,” with her Gucci Indy designer handbag on arm.

The Gucci Indy black leather bag is topped off with an eye-catching multi-color snowflake-looking patchwork patch and features a purple python trim, silver hardware, detachable purple python shoulder strap, engraved gucci script logo, and long dangling python tassels with bamboo detail. Price of this celebrity owned bag falls on the $5790 mark.

Spotted: Miss Mischa Barton arrived at Miami International Airport with her pup Twiggy in one hand and her Rachel Zoe for Judith Leiber Medusa bag in the other.

Mischa’s Rachel Zoe for Leiber Medusa siren red kidskin satchel is accented with matte golden hardware, dual leather and suede braided handle straps, magnetic flap closure, side suede drawstring compartments, and topped off with the eye-catching piece - The old French door knocker inspired heavy gold fob depicting two snakes coiled around a ring. Measurements of this shoulder bag are 17″ wide x 10.5″ high x 1.5″ deep.

Christian Dior Flight Shearling East West Handbag
Ah yes, the Christian Dior Flight Shearling east / west styled handbag has finally made its way over to the Sale Shop of eluxury. This Dior Flight Shearling bag made its official debut last year during the winter months of ‘05, but eluxury has still yet to sell of the last bunch, therefore we have our purse deal of the day - The Dior Flight Shearling East West Handbag, as seen on Mischa Barton (below) is marked down to $1,074 (reg. $1,790).

From the Dior Flight collection, this aviation-like rugged bag features extremely soft shearling trim, signature Dior polished silver metal hardware, a large (very comfortable) leather shoulder strap, an easy to access front flap pocket with magnetic snap and two Dior button details, a zip top closure at the mouth of the bag with a braided strap as zipper pull (strap is attached to other end of zipper), and held tight with the wraparound belt topped off with an oversized silver D that interlocks over bag front with a smaller D, and finished off with the removable orange rubber Dior tag that reads “Remove Before Flight”.

This is a little guessing game. . . .
What celebrity is always photographed with a chanel handbag? So often that you wonder if she owns any other designer bag besides Chanel (she does).

When asked by a reporter (Cron.com) “How many Chanel bags do you have?” Her response was “I probably have 15 or 20. It’s not ridiculous. I probably get a bag every season from them (’them’ - when she was cast member of a certain show) and then I buy the ones that I really want.”

Jimmy Choo | Coco Clutch | View!
The Jimmy Choo Coco hand held petite evening clutch is decorated with rows upon rows of gold studs with a golden lined cut-out handle casing.

If you don’t like the attention grabbing studded Coco bag then electronically wonder on over to Net-a-Porter (View!), there they have the simple plain black Coco for almost (get this) half off from the Coco stud - $750. Personally I would save my money on this one. The Jimmy Choo Coco with the studs is too rocker-chic for me and the plain black is (well, just) too plain.

Mulberry | Patchwork Bayswater Handbag View!
For the Autumn 2006 season English luxury brand Mulberry decided to “re-interpret it’s British heritage for the modern day”. One of the bags from the collection is the popular Mulberry Bayswater handbag. For this season, the Rio Patchwork comes decorated with the Mulberry’s seasonal leaf motif in waves of coffee, tan and chestnut patchwork toned (sheepskin leather) hues. The bag has a flap closure secured behind the buckle, a signature Mulberry bush logo on plaque and signature gold padlock fastening hidden in pouch on handle.

In my opinion the Mulberry Bayswater is a fantastic bag for any fashionable person who likes to carry everything in their life within reach in their bag. The bag is roomy and has a classic image, a trend that will never dye off. I love the Mulberry Bayswater, however the design of this patchwork bag (even though to me it has Autumn written all over it) is just not my cup of tea. I would prefer one of the more classic colors such as in chocolate or black.

Zac Posen | Framed Bag | View!
Welcome Zac Posen to being one of my new favorite handbag designer of the season. I love your bags so much that I decided to put you under your own category, rather than “Other Designers” you have your own special designer spot here on Bag Bliss (*aww*). The sales director for Zac Posen, Stephanie Cozzi stated that “The Zac Posen woman wants to feel like she is carrying a future collectible when she has our bag on her arm.” His bags could be a collectable (sure do have a classic look to them) but it still pretty early to tell since this designer first introduced his very own Zac Posen collection on the spring 2004 runway show. I want, I mean need one! Especially this Zac Posen vintage like framed bag that’s decorated with chain that swoops down to the Zac Posen signature name plate, by far this bag is my favorite currently on the store shelves.

Stella McCartney | Falabella Lace Chain Clutch | View!
Stella McCartney (a strict vegetarian) will never use leather or fur in her designs. After Stella’s mother passed in April of 1998, Stella stepped up her fight against the maltreatment of animals, a cause Linda had always held dear.

For this Falabella Clutch, Stella McCartney (like always) ditches the leather for luxurious materials such as panther antique lace and silk satin to create this very sexy and feminine clutch - imo worth every penny.

This is an update on the Judith Leiber post that I blogged about when the news was first introduced - The bags are set to debut this month at all Judith Leiber stores (located in Las Vegas, Atlanta, New York and Costa Mesa, California) Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus and retail in the high range of $2,000 to $10,000.

Stylist to the rich and famous celebrities Rachel Zoe is teamed up with Judith Leiber to create high-end chic bags with reptile detailing. Rachel Zoe (a vegetarian) is obsessed with animal skins and incorporates much of this passion into her new line. The exotic animal skins used to create these bags, to name a few, are crocodile, lizard, and python. To this collection there are two basic styles that Rachel Zoe created with Frank Zambrelli the creative director for Judith Leiber. The Medusa style is a pliable satchel with ruched outside pockets at the sides, woven leather or suede shoulder straps and a flap closure and the Cleopatra is an oversize, rectangular minaudiere. The bags come in about 12 color variations, including a siren red and a matte gold, and are topped off with a heavy gold fob depicting two snakes coiled around a ring. The inspiration for these pieces came from by an old French doorknocker. Huh, I wonder if that’s what Christian Louboutin had in mind.

I haven’t seen this collection yet but I’m very curious to see how these bags turn out. So far from what I have been reading about this collection I’m not that impressed, I would rather save my money and buy a more classic bag, such as a Hermes.

Luella | Gisele Handbag | On Sale $599.89 | View!
Long ago the Luella Gisele was once the hottest “It Bag” of the season. It was first introduced in later months of 2003, but was not instantly crowned with the “It Bag” status until months later when we saw it on the arms of almost all fashionable starlets and celebrities. Wonder what’s in the name? Young designer Luella Bartley named the Luella Gisele bag after the Brazilian beauty supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Even though this bag dropped it’s “It Bag” Status, it’s still one bag that is admired by all ages. See below, Jennifer Aniston and Mischa Barton are still toting theirs.
